I guess miracles can happen but historically they take years, and sometimes never.
Both are working extremely well for mid level sick patients. Nothing is having an impact for severely sick patients.
The only good thing about this affecting the whole world is that every country is working on a way to stop this and are sharing info.

Thankfully, this is incorrect. It is an approved drug that doctors are free to use. It worked on SARS, disrupting the virus's process of binding to cells.
This isn't a cure, and it isn't a vaccine. What it CAN do, however, is slow down the COVID-19's progression in the body, which could be the difference between thousands of old people dying from pneumonia or not.

Even if just shortens hospital time for some or keeps others out and does nothing itself to stop the lethal cases that would be a win in freeing up hospital space.

vaccine production has several stages. First, the antigen itself is generated. Viruses are grown either on primary cells such as chicken eggs (e.g., for influenza) or on continuous cell lines such as cultured human cells (e.g., for hepatitis A). Bacteria are grown in bioreactors (e.g., Haemophilus influenzae type b).

It's not a vaccine. It's an anti-virul drug.
