Tom knew this day would come. Bellichick let Mr Kraft know, Patriot Way for one Patriot Way for All. Tom Brady should have played contract hard ball 15 year or so years ago. Bellichick is thinking: Who does this guy think he is? Brady, a 6th round draft pick was a part-time starter at U of MI. Brady cannot bench press 225 more than a few times Brady cannot run a sub-5 40 yard dash. Brady only magically had a strong arm during Randy Moss era has a weak arm now. No way Patriots were going to give Brady 30 million per season.
Brady needs to come off his high horse. Brady would be a great backup at age 43. Earl Morrall started 9 games for undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins at age 38.

like it matters, there will be no sports this fall.....this corono nonsense is going to push us into the 2nd dark ages
Have you seen Mr. Peanutbutter lately?
All good things must come to an end. Will miss Brady of course, but this is his age-43 season and the end was coming soon. Better be a year early than a year late. Stidham now gets his shot.
Sports news!
Will be nice to see Giselle getting a little sun in LA instead of dreary old Boston.
There aren't 32 starter-caliber QBs in the NFL. Brady will land a 1-year contract somewhere. His numbers are mid-pack, but the leadership experience could be valuable to a young team. However, it seems like only the Chargers and Bucs are interested, according to NFL network's talking heads.
The bottom line is that Brady could play for $1. He and his wife are worth a half billion dollars. Brady has probably lost more in the stock market this month than his potential new salary, whatever it might be.

He could, but he won't. Definitely the Drew Brees contract is the starting point, but Brady for appearances probably wants marginally more just to befit the team's commitment/excitement to him.

Ok cool. He should play for the New York Giants then. That would be cool.

Leadership experience?

Chargers fan here. Brady will be 43 years old next season, there will be a point in his life where he will not be good enough to play in the NFL and it's not generally a gradual decline. Farve and Manning were both younger than Brady and went from good to bad in just one season. I believe there is a better than 50% chance that Brady will really suck this year. The Chargers are not going to be especially good in any scenario, so I would rather draft a QB and get him out on the field.

Well said in my eyes.
I'll add that Brady has been in a system designed for him to get rid the ball far quicker than any other offense in the NFL. Most of his passes travel within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage to accomplish this and keep him healthy. If he is expected to take deep drops and hold the ball like Rivers at SD or Winston at Tampa, he could be in for real bruising or a rough season at best.
This has been obvious for a long time. Only immature post threads in all CAPS.
Yeah, the only parts of the Chargers offense that align with Brady's skillset are the throws to the RBs and the shallow routes run by Keenan Allen. Mike Williams/Hunter Henry are not the best fits for what Brady does any more. If he joins them, it's pretty clear to me teams will flood the middle of the field and force Brady to beat them throwing jump balls to those two guys.
And the Bills pulled Stefon Diggs from Minnesota. Pats may find themselves off the top of the AFCE this year.

Still in jail serving my sentence. Mr. Peanutbutter has not visited me once despite him promising me at the wedding that he would.
Princess Caroline has sent some packages.
Footballs is the gayest sport possible - not that there’s anything wrong with that.

You brought up MN Vikings. A couple of days ago Vikings signed Kirk Cousins to a two year 66 million dollar extension. If Vikings knew Brady was available, would Vikings have signed Cousins again to a huge deal? I do not care how good are Cousins' stats, I do not think Cousins is very good.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
