NEVER!! I am impressed by ultra runners, and can somewhat understand what might motivate them, but I can't imagine I'll ever want to participate in an ultra.

Excited to see you try out new things after the pacer test , crocs mile, 200m , etc. Waiting for you to do a steeplechase race, now that would be some good content! I'm gonna have to check our your book, cheers man
Yes! Have had a lot of requests for a steeple. 100% going to run one this spring. CANNONBALL!!!
You definitely have some of the best produced running vlogs on YouTube. I’d love to see a few more training methodologies/modalities/tips videos
But I guess I should just buy the book
Thank you! The informational videos don't perform nearly as well as the entertainment ones. But the book I am referring to is almost all information. I did add just a few stories in there to make it fun and entertaining too!!
When are you going to star in your first porno?
Nick,
I DM'd you a question on Instagram about a year ago and you answered my question on the same day. Although it was such a small thing to do, the way you answered my question with sincerity and in detail instantly made me a fan. Today we see so many pros full of themselves that it was awesome to see a humble 1:42 guy interacting directly with his fanbase.
The way you have grown on the YouTube scene is really commendable, you hammer a niche that has been pretty much untouched aside from vO2maxproductions, The Athlete Special, Ben Barrows, and only a handful of others. Today we see an oversaturation of channels dedicated to lifting that it's really refreshing to get the notification that you have uploaded a video relating to all of our's favorite sport: running.
You truly deliver content that both competitive and casual runners just eat up and you deserve all the growth you've received. I downloaded your 2012 training log and use it from time to time for motivation and reflection on my own training. Through YouTube, Instagram, RunGum, and training log, you have consistently provided your fans with great products. Knowing you, your book is probably of the same or better quality, which is why I am looking forward to purchasing it and gaining insight from an Olympian while simultaneously supporting one of my favorite content creators.
Thank you so much for this message!!! From day one I was acutely aware that without fans, we don't have pro sports. I very much enjoyed being a pro athlete, so I felt that we as athletes should do everything in our power to attract more fans! I will say this in defense of many current pros: it is hard to read about yourself on these boards. Building confidence into a big race is a lot of work, and one slap dick comment on these boards can erode that confidence. For that reason I stayed off these message boards for the majority of my pro career. Similarly, people attacked me often on social media when I was a pro, so I didn't response to many people then. Now I'm retired and happier than ever, so dumba$$ comments don't really phase me. Go easy on the pros that are doing their best to insulate themselves from their haters.
I'll end with this, I sincerely love the running community. I will do my best to continue to promote the sport, create great content and products for runners, and engage with the running community as often as I can!!

Hi Nick- thanks for stopping by...related to that, I'd love to steal Chris Chavez's go to question and ask what's the meanest thing you've read about yourself either on this boards or have had DM'd to you?
The ones that called me fat used to bother me a lot. I am naturally a bigger guy, but by no means was I ever fat. However, after reading those comments I'd look at the other runners around me and wonder if I needed to lose weight. I was, and am, a pretty confident person, so those comments didn't stick around with me too long. But for young men and women who struggle with their weight or appearance I imagine those kinds of comments can be devastating. If you message board posters want pros to join us here more often you should seriously consider being more positive and kind!

Haha great question! I have no idea why, but people DM me every single day asking how sex and masturbation will effect their running. I got so tired of responding to these questions, I decided to just write a chapter about it (Chapter 9) so people can go read that and stop telling me about their masturbatory habits.
Is there a difference on performance whether or not I use the right or the left hand?
Could the extra grip strength equate to an advantage in relays?
Hi Nick, what are your adjusted championship placings when you take out those runners you believe were doping?
Bye everyone. Was fun until this a$$head showed up!
I think it’s a good question! You don’t have to name anyone. Just state the championship race and what you should have placed after removing those ahead of you that you believed took PEDs.
I’m sure there are some guys who were ahead of doped for sure. Then, there are some who probably doped, like Borza. It seems all the top Russian females 800m doped. Then, the entire Russian federation received a ban for aiding doping.
You’ll discuss anything it seems except this. You’re outspoken and willing to even talk to your fans about all manner of things. Then, someone asked you about an important, relevant question about your career and pro running and you clam up. What gives man! No is accusing you of doping. They just asked how your clean career was negatively affected by dopers. So, what are your true championship places after removing dopers?
Oh, your questions is fine! My a$$head comment was for the person talking about jerking off with both hands lol.
Re your question. There is no doubt that people who placed higher than me at global championships were most definitely on drugs...some of them have subsequently tested positive. Others never tested positive, but it would be laughable to assume they were not on drugs.
One of the hardest parts of running professionally was competing on a playing field that definitely was not level. Systemic doping, doping aided by federations and even governments! I tried to bury my head in the sand and ignore it. I would guess I lost out on AT LEAST several hundred thousand dollars due to drug cheats. Possibly millions.
To clarify, I am not stating that ALL people who placed higher than me were on drugs. Just some of them. AND for the record I believe David Rudisha was clean. I NEED to believe he was clean...
Rudisha, I also believe was clean. Like you’ve said before, he’s a 6’03” Masai warrior with a dad with an Olympic 4x400m Olympic medal!
You definitely got the most out of your talent, more than any US runner other than perhaps Leo Manzano.
What’s the deal with the guy that beat you at 2013 worlds? Should you really have the gold?
Are you a fan of Jamin?
I got your first book and enjoyed it, despite the resentment against guys with real leg speed that still burns from my college days. Any chance you would do a hardcopy version of this new one?
