Oh yes, and non-running threads are clearly allowed. You know this if you hadn't taken any shortcuts to get here.
As if it matters, the guy does claim to be a runner but that is questionable as he claims a lot of things that seem to lack validity. I am not really personally concerned, I can handle myself in a pinch. I do worry about others though.

Have any of you had to endure a revenge seeking employee?
Here's the best way to handle this:
First, he is a person. Unless he is really giving you signs he will be violent, you don't need to treat him any differently.
Just say 'Hey, I'd like to talk to you' and have a meeting in your office and let him know it isn't working out.
That's a professional, civil, practical way to handle it.
Why should it be any more complicated than that.
I have been let go a few times. One was at a warehouse where I was just not a very efficient employee. I didn't really care too much that I was let go but a part of me didn't appreicate the way they went about it. They had me come in the office and another employee was sitting down listening to the guy tell me I was done. It didn't need to be so formal. Another time I was let go in a similar environment and they did it in a better way. One of the guys just said 'were letting you go' and I was actually relieved. That was much preferable.
People take these things too seriously.
If you are going to let someone go, just tell them it isn't working out. Really simple. Just between you and them.
Al, did you read the advise Luv2Run gave you? Trust me, its golden.
Good luck!
Half the running advice on this running message board is suspect. So why would someone solicit non-running advice with a non-running thread? Sad.

That means half the running advice is not suspect, and perhaps a large percentage of that non-suspect advice, is useful.
Therefore advice on these boards is worth seeking, and is often appreciated once received.
About two months ago I fired someone like this. He was former military and we gave him a shot at his first civilian job. He had no idea how to function. We spent months trying to train him and accommodate. He mostly spent his time playing Clash of Clans.
Documented everything. Wrote him up a few times for performance and the next time he messed to majorly I terminated him.
A few hours later a bomb threat was called in to our building and we had to evacuate 170 people to a parking lot for 3 hours. In December.

Looks like you were successful, Chris Matthews quit! Or were you talking about another Philadelphian?

A message board is not the place to seek legal advice.
What? We are experts on everything.

Got dang uh huh.
But stay silent about the most famous cheater of our times. Someone who assaults cops and ladies must be defended at all costs......especially here in Broberia.
Let him go on The Path. Watch the Devastation. If they are reckless and make mistakes, then fire them for poor performance.

As you know, some employees, whether they are VIP or not, just need to be out out to pasture.
https://northpennnow.com/upper-gwynedd-man-tased-after-assaulting-two-officers-police-p2191-119.htmThis is all good advice. A number of years ago I had to terminate an employee who I was concerned might go over the edge. We literally hired an armed guard on the day he was terminated.
The guard just stayed in the background when the employee was walked out and for few weeks afterwards patrolled the front entrance. Maybe it was extreme but you never know.
