But that seems like it could be easily interpreted to mean you can’t wear spikes because they are claimed to make you faster? If they wanted to ban Next%s they should make it more clear
Those things aren’t in the World Athletics competition rules, but shoes are, and Vaporfly’s are legal.
So boys are allowed to change their gender and win girls state titles, but because funds aren't available to everyone to buy shoes, they ban the shoes?
How about ban boys from competing in girl sports first?

He can't wear them in college. His team will provide shoes. So you had him throw that money down the drain.
I can tell you didn’t run in college. You can train in whatever shoes you want, you just have to buy your own usually if they’re not the team sponsor. You don’t have to race in team issues shoes either. Look at GVSU, some their guys are racing in VFs they bought despite being an Adidas school.
I have 2 daughters and a son running for 3 different D1 programs and all have to wear team gear and team issued shoes at every practice and meet. So yes, the guy had his athlete waste his money.
College running isn’t just D1.
No but if you bothered to read his post that I responded to, you would see that he is talking about the state champ who beat a top 10 Footlocker runner. If that is not D1, something is wrong.
And what’s to say he doesn’t end up at a Nike school? Or just to use them for summer training?
Nike school won't let him wear outdated shoe. Yes he can wear them for summer training but that isn't what the coach was saying. I suspect that the coach is exaggerating the level of his runner and that he is really a D3 guy who will buy his own shoes. Most of the rest of guys obviously were also.

Teacher told class we can no longer use laptops as not everyone has access to them.
We all agreed.
Terrible analogy.
What school did you even go to?
saw this a while ago and was wondering if this would actually be a beneficial thing to use for 3Ks - 10Ks on the track?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
