I actually like the fit but they are pretty firm. I like them in my shoe rotation for variability but who actually likes these for marathon/half racing? They are really firm for an 8oz shoe.

Since you ask… adios don't suck, it's just you.
It's just you. Really a pretty good product.
Perhaps you should mention which generation u r using?
Adios 5 added Lightstrike and indeed some people think it's firmer than previous generations.
It is the Adios 3. I think the Boston is also heavy for how firm it is. Maybe I'm not a fan of the boost material. I don't mind running in Adidas Boost products, I just wouldn't race in them.
I had 3 demo runs in various Adidas models at my LRS when they first came out with Boost. I couldn't stand the feel of running in them. I had run primarily in Adidas through high school and several years after.
It's just you. I spend almost all my time in the adios 4s. I have one precious pair left of the adios 3 that I pull out for special events. Those were the best shoes I've ever had.
But to be fair, I don't like many running shoes so I'm probably some weird kind of runner. I'm the only person on my 500 person team who wears the adios.
I ran in Boston's yesterday, in the rain, on smooth concrete, and I swear the heel was suctioning the concrete.
They are my least favorite of that line from Adidas. Race/workout in Takumi Sen or Sub 2, train in Boston, no place for Adios.
Where do you get your takumi sen? I was actually looking at the Asics TartherEdge for a replacement since Takumi is not available

The first pair I ever got was from eBay because they were basically impossible to get here. The last pair or two I got from runningwarehouse.

Place for Adios = marathon and half. Or at least until the Adizero Pro comes out (assuming they're good). You must be one of the 7 people who wear the Sub 2, which were clearly a flop for Adidas, as you can trade a pack of gum for a pair of them. However, after several marathon/half PRs in the Adios, I've switched to the VF...it's just a better shoe.

Dude, cmon...
https://www.adidas.com/us/adizero-takumi-sen-6/EE4341.htmlWhat distance are these shoes for?(Takumi Sen 6) Would they work in 3mile-5k cross country? Or are they more of a road racing shoe?

Yeah I'll race a half in the Sen or Sub 2 over the Adios and a full in the sub 2 before Adios by a long, long ways. To each their own.

It's just you, these shoes kick ass!!!
Also ask Kimetto who was the first to break 2:03 EVER while wearing them
I think the adios is going to become the budget marathon racer for adidas now with the adizero pro. Similar stack but a more technical upper, nicer outsole, and a carbon plate. $60 more and weighs a whole ounce less. Not sure where the adios fits in after the pro comes out as the Boston weighs almost the same but provides more protection and is great for tempos and workouts.
I was running in the adios 4 and boston 8 for a few months. I set my parkrun pb in the adios. Both are minimal, stiff shoes with tons of traction underfoot. They are simply fast no frills shoes. However I had to move away from them as I can't keep my form on point during tempo runs. I get ragged towards the end of a fast effort. The adios 4 were a bit weird as they were bouncy in the midfoot at "slower" paces (like 8 min miles) but really firmed up at tempo pace. I needed more bounce. I'm not good enough for that type of shoe yet.
