Either way Mo loses. If he cross the line first it we be attributed to his alleged and as yet unproven doping. If he crosses the line anything other than first he will just be called a chump, as is de rigueur here. I have no special interest in defending Mo, but the hatred of him on this website has crossed into pathos.
Did you pity Lance Armstrong as well ? Mo Farah doesn't deserve any respect !!!
Anyway, I am looking forward to see Bekele racing again. He seems focused to enter more races this year. After the half and London, he will probably target Berlin or the Olympics.
We should all be celebrating the Great One giftiing us more race even at an advanced age.
I did not like Lance Armstrong from the from the first time I read an interview with him, when he was still a junior athlete. This was long, long before he had cancer, before his "great come back". It was clear from the early days that Lance was a bully, a liar, a jerk. It was obvious he was doping to me when he won his first tour. So no, I do not pity Lance. I just don't happen to believe the case against Mo Farrah is as remotely straightforward as it was with Lance Armstrong. I also don't especially care for Mo, but I also don't think it is good for the sport to burn someone at the stake until all the evidence is in. Should the evidence have been collected with greater alacrity? Yes. Absolutely yes. But this is still quite different from the Lance Armstrong situation. I don't claim to know of Mo is a cheat. What baffles me is that so many people in track seem to be assured that he is. Why not ask the same questions about Bekele? Why not, for that matter, Geb and Tergat? It could well be that Mo is a cheat but I don't like this precedent of pillory before process. It's not a good precedent.
