His father was 3rd base coach in 2018, not 2017, you can't steal signs from 3rd and how could the Astros read the fake signs?
How would Scott Brosius know that Trout was taking HGH? If it was such common knowledge it couldn't possibly been kept secret.
It's unlikely it's Brosius' son. There is no way Scott would want his name attached to crazy rumours. The part about about the fake signs is something someone with little knowledge of baseball would write.

Are you serious? It's like how Track and Field keeps all of their positives under wraps. It would be detrimental to the sport to have your top performer, Mike Trout here, test positive. Cover-ups happen and some players/athletes are allowed to dope with immunity (Barry Bonds, Lance Armstrong, Kipchoge). The sport will not confess to any of the top athletes doing anything nefarious unless they royally mess up like Asbel Kiprop did.
Trout does look like a classic HGH body.
It would be impossible to keep it a secret. "The sport" is not a person. Brosius was not an employee of the Angels or of the MLB office so how would he know about it?
Bonds was never tested so there was never a cover-up and you have no evidence that Kipchoge tested positive for anything . Armstrong was a trainwreck and it's hard to relate his story to anything else.
What is wrong with you? Like as a person?

It's definitely his son. Higher profile reddit AMAs are usually verified and it would have been caught by now if it was fake

It is his son and here is what said today:
I'd like to clear the air about a comment made earlier this week about Mike Trout potentially using HGH. The statement in question was taken from a conversation where I was explaining how there are certain situations in which actions that would usually be against the rules and considered cheating, are deemed okay for medical or other reasons, thus not cheating. The example I used of Mike Trout does not stem from information from my Dad or sources within the MLB and has no evidence behind it. I had no intention of this becoming an accusation against Mike Trout or causing the uproar it did. Mike Trout has been the face of MLB for good reason, as he is an amazing player and even better example for baseball players like myself. I would like to sincerely apologize to him and his family for the unfair statement I made and the negative fallout it has had on them. No criticism or skepticism should be pointed at him, it should all be at me. I had a lapse in judgment when posting the comment and have learned my lesson on how powerful and dangerous social media can be.
What is MLB?
Who is Mike Trout? Maybe he can coach Mary Cain?

Armstrong never tested positive for anything -- but he's the villain.
Big Papi did test positive for a PED in 2003 and last year was targeted for "romancing" a gangster's lady - he's a hero.
Facts don't matter much when selling a narrative
I bet he’s was threatened with a major lawsuit to recant his statement.
His retraction makes no sense. He said what he said, there's no other way around it. Nothing could be taken out of context. If he wants to properly recant it, he should say that he made that s#$@ up.
Doesn't this part indicate he admits he made it up:
"The example I used of Mike Trout does not stem from information from my Dad or sources within the MLB and has no evidence behind it."

I guess, but then why say this "I had no intention of this becoming an accusation against Mike Trout"? That's exactly what it was. He should have been more direct in his apology.

Some people have a hard time saying, "I made it up and I'm sorry."
Reminds me of that guy who ratted out cheater Peyton Manning for using HGH late in his career. He was caught on hidden camera detailing it all but when the footage is leaked he all of a sudden tries to cover his butt by saying he recants his words LOL. Cheater Mile Trout will have this covered up because he is a media doll just like his buddy Peyton and Big Papi Ortiz who is also a cheater.
Fake news.
MLB released a statement:
"Since the inception of the (joint drug) Program, no Major League or Minor League player has ever received a TUE for, or otherwise received permission to use, Human Growth Hormone (HGH)."

Yeah, because the MLB has never lied, covered-up, or botched an investigation into anything.

Show me an example this century of MLB outright lying in a public statement like this.
There's a difference between looking the other way and going on the record with an outright lie.

Mike Trout is incredibly talented and I have never heard of anyone saying something negative about him. However, his reputation can be damaged by some idiot's post on an Instagram account with about 50 followers?
