That crazy thread about the surfing madonna (I think that's what it was) race in CA where the race director tried to claw back prize money. Man, that was a gem. The whole thing was almost to unbelievable to be true.
Only losers would vote for some lame thread about some loser cheater.
You delete all the good ones.
Co-worker strava record is my vote that is still up.

Rob Young thread. Crazy thing is, it ended up benefitting Pete Kostelnick, then trans-continental attempts & multi-day races generally.
I would nominate Pete's transcon thread because Pete came up with what posters were calling the "Pete's Gold Standard". A standard that quickly slaps people like Rob Young to the curb, and can quickly avoid people like that getting much attention on forums like LRC's. Unfortunately, threads like Pete's got so much less attention on LRC than the cheater threads.

He was locked up in some kind of mental rehab place. I think his claim temporary insanity to get out of a jail sentence is why he ended up in mental rehab. But, in true 430miler fashion, he most likely intentionally trolled the mental health evaluators just to escape being locked up in jail ... a lot of funny "straight" guys in there.
Two posts/threads come to mind...
1. "Webb's baby's back baby!" - Someone posted this in the Julia Webb thread for her breaking the half marathon/baby stroller world record. It was truly fantastic post/response that should be remembered for a long time
2. Julia Webb's Treadmill Miracle thread - I believe she actually posted to the thread herself. Again, amazing. Truly freaking amazing.
I'm not trying to pick on the Webb's, but these came top to mind.
This one!

I would have nominated “The Year is 2027” post, but it has been, sadly, deleted. Can a thread be given the honor post-mortem?
Another good one:
I think the "Co-workers had a mile time trial yesterday. Results were surprising."-thread was pretty good.
So many great threads..... deleted.
I hereby officially withdraw my vote for the frank meza cheating thread and nominate the David rudisha dildo thread
I vote for rcjason's top 10 tips for marathon........stay tuned!!!!
I don't think it should win thread of the decade, but Coebra's thread about training for the 2020 steeple trials is a real laugh. He suckered in a lot of people with his mediocre workouts.
