I'm just not sure how we set it up for PPV like flotrack. I've got a call into them about proper pricing. Since it's one off and not recurring, we'll need to charge more - maybe like $50.
That should buy you a lot of liquor, rojo.

Steve - if things fail tonight (big if) and you are searching for road options, there is a nice steady downhill with a wide shoulder on blue barns rd in Burnt hills from starting from ashdown road. It is flat first 150m, downhill drop of 30m over the next 1200ish meters, and then a small 5m climb in the last 150-200m. That's the best place I know if, but perhaps you/others have better options! A more aggressive option is on Schauber rd which would be flat for the first 550, then a steep downhill for 800m dropping over 100ft, then a flat last section. Also out of your way from Albany but figured I would start the conversation. BHBL track is also open.

Thanks for the ideas, I'll keep that in mind if I miss. I actually live in Queensbury though; Rojo said the Albany area since that's more familiar for people I assume. But Burnt Hills is a lot closer to Albany for me anyway since Albany is about an hour. As a Queensbury guy though, I don't know how I'd feel about running my streak on the Burnt Hills track, haha. (For non-NY people, Queensbury and Burnt Hills are rivals in XC.)
Find a downhill with a tailwind, put on Next Percents, have Jon Gault & Wejo swap pacing duties and Rojo drive the pace car. #LRC459 project
Clendonbrook Road dropping down from Keenan Reservoir. Looks like about a 400' drop over a mile. Big Wave Dave that mother F'er!
Is you all out 200m speed currently over or under 34?

Can confirm. It's in the family.
Two of us are currently waiting for Steve to arrive at the Civic center. One person will be pacing the other yelling splits. Will send link to live feed if one is up!
Yeah I’m running late, be there in a couple minutes guys.
Side bet, Steve is late why is that?
2/1 odds he was pooping
5/2 odds he over slept
9/1 got in car accident
50/1 taking care of child

Good luck. I have a streak of my own, 46 years straight of not running a sub 5 mile. Getting easier with age :)
Good luck! sub 5 is the standard for "fitness" so everyone I know that has run in college looks at that time and respects even attempting it. Alot of guys my/your age are starting families so running has taken a major setback. Who knows though, in a few years time you'll have to try a new streak: sub 5 in a baby stroller.
great thread... this is what letsrun is all about ... well at least on part of it
perhaps one of the best part of running is the amusing locker-room camaraderie of discussing little challenges like this and then attempting them...
anyways... results??
Not good, but to be expected. He was about 12 seconds off at 1200m and fading fast, so he bailed. Streak over.
Bring it to the downhill track!

This is a troll post, haven’t started yet. Going to try to stream it from the twitter account. Probably 10-15min. Posting this from the John.

If you're off pace, don't quit! Push through it and see what your time is.
Going live on Twitter in 5 -10 min.
In case anyone is curious Steve was late because he was dropping his child off
We are live!!!
He has done it.
4:59!!! Legendary
