Just out of curiosity, does anyone know why they don’t allow females?
Where is it indicated that they don't allow females? As soon as a female shows up who can fulfill the role of Drew or Sam in forming a women's group, I'm sure Tinman Elite will have the beginnings of a female group. Until then, there aren't any sponsor-less women who can keep up with their existing training group in workouts or long runs. They already invited one who, for obvious reasons, didn't work out.
Tinman would take female runners. 100% guaranteed. He's coached plenty of good ones in the past.
To the question of whether the male team will be at the top of the game in a few years:
Until Tinman Elite, Schwartz has only really had solid opportunities to work with the athletes who were either really young (Grace Ping) or really old (Kevin Miller). Drew is to Tinman what Rupp is to Salazar (i.e. trained from an early age into the pro ranks) - except with way more transparency and charisma. If Drew, et al prove successful in terms of medals on the world stage, I can see the team going places.
Drew is right though - in a few years it won't be a question. It'll be answered one way or the other.
Looks like Jordan Gusman just signed with Adidas.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
