It is obvious this is a massive doping culture akin to professional cycling. Sad but that's the way it has been.

Nothing to see here, just another lower tier runner.
Yes! Or ran through a PED-infested puddle.

He bit the dust back in March. The drug that he was busted for, Terbutaline, has medical use as a bronchodilator, but, like other B2 adrenergic receptor agonists, it also has anabolic- and stimulant effects. 16 months is a short ban.
I thought the minimum ban was 4 years now. I consider that a short ban. 16 months is a slap on the wrist for ped users.
It normally would be for intentional use. However, in this case the Displicinary Tribunal ruled that he provided sufficient evidence that a cough syrup containing terbutaline was prescribed to him for treatment of pneumonia. Cases like this would fall under the "No Fault or Negligence" cause where the AIU can impose a sanction between a reprimand and a two-year period of ineligibility. Here's the "First Instance Decision" ruling:

Strange that this excuse stood, considering that terbutaline isn’t used to treat pneumonia. It is used as a bronchodilator in the treatment of asthma or as a tocolytic (prevents contractions during pre-term labor)

What does it mean ? The Kenyans are as dirty as the Russians.
At a world class level, they are all doped
B2 antagonist?? So it decreases your RBC production?
B2 agonist...dilation of the bronchial tree.
Not one effing thing to do with rbc's.

The bronchial tree feeds the oxygen to the rbcs.

Helped pace Kipchoge to WR too.
Be serious, man. Kitwara hardly made it to 15K in that WR race and was the first of the 3 pacemakers to drop out even though he was supposed to be the main pacer to take Kipchoge to at least 30K. Rewatch the race again!
I stand corrected...He at least helped.
But damn man, this doping this is way out of control.

Yes, the records of this sport are as credible as those Nigerian emails in the "Junk" box.
Where's my good friend Renato to explain this chaos. Renato? He'll be along any minute.

Another idiot armchair “expert” calling 2:05 sub elite when he or she could not run a sub 3:00 k not even to save his/her own life. Pathetic.

Thanks for the support. So yes, indirectly it does in fact have to do with RBC which in turn has to do with hemoglobin, hematocrit, etc. What is the common theme here? These are doping products supporting endurance activities all favoring hemoglobin bio markers.

And the mouth feeds the bronchial tree. And actual trees create oxygen. Don't be daft.

Disingenuous.
Thanks Star.
But that's simply letsrun at its finest: one harmless remark, and one immediately gets called "idiot armchair “expert” " by someone who didn't understand the context.

Support? Your dumb @$$ thought it decreased rbc production. More specifically, you didn't even know the mechanism of action. The two of you are like a couple of drunk raccoons trying to hump the same football.
Further, terbutaline has has nothing to do with "hgb biomarkers". Why would you even say something like that?
