Question for you XC veterans...
I'm a sophmore in highschool...just finished my 2019 cross country season. I think I improved alot since my freshman year
2018
cross country PR 13:48, 2 miles
cross country PR 21:36, 3 miles
2019
cross country PR 11:36, 2 miles
cross country PR 18:21, 3 miles
I accomplished this by training over the summer and running more miles a week and adding speedwork twice a week.
I currently run 7 days a week @ 35 miles per week
I run intervals/speedwork on Tues/Thur
I run long run on Sundays
other days are medium speed runs adding up to 35 a week.
If my goal for the 2020 fall XC season is to run in the 16 minute range for a 3 mile race...what should I do in my training?
