I'm interested in this video. I'm also interested in knowing why threads that ask if letsrun is messed with by Russian trolls are deleted. Thanks!
It is little known outside of the Hermit Kingdom, but the Supreme Leader was actually the first to break 2:00 in the marathon and he did it without vapor fly shoes. He is ideally suited for marathon running as he has no need to stop for bathroom breaks:

I'm also interested in who is wearing that M...A...G.... hat in the top photo? Is that Trump? He sure does have a tight little butt.
That's Donald himself visiting the Rocket Man and having the honor to start a race.
I'm guessing its a Hunger Games kind of thing, with some VERY strong incentives to break 3:00.
Passing under the finish line, clock reads 3:01. Race official: "Just keep running. Good luck."
Very interesting video, I must say! I began to be interested in North Korea relatively recently, and in jogging just 3 years ago. Thanks a lot for sharing the interesting video)
Seems to me to be more of a commentary on the social/ political aspects of the country through the lens of the race. Not actually focused on the running, instead it uses the event in order to make yet another commentary on the lives of people in North Korea.
I watched the Otto Warmbier story.
Aka running into trouble in North Korea.
No. I don't care.

Maybe because Russian trolls are a myth?
North Korea has the 10th Most Women Marathoners under 2:30 of all The nations, Tilastopaja list's 19, this list shows 17
North Korea also had the Women's 800 World Record holder from 1964 until it was broke in 1973 (1:58.0)
Thanks for the tip. Well worth the 45 minutes it took.
Mediocre documentary. Didn’t learn a whole lot I didn’t already know.
I heard Kim runs marathons in under an hour.
Here are a couple of books with insider accounts of life inside North Korea for anyone interested in the subject.

Some wild stuff in there.
I just watched it, really good documentary with some great filming work. Well produced.
But Aimee, ahem yes you were '13th', well done, though you neglected to mention that was 13th out of 14 runners in your category..you were actually 324th out of 340. Nice sprint finish though.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
