We asked him if he has broken 5:00 this year and he wrote back, "I have not. It's been a rough year. "
It's not too late. We can't let him fail. Save Steve!
Downhill, Vaporfly, pace truck
True Story: a college teammate told me this. He was driving toward the beach one day back in late 80’s (or early 90’s) and saw a hitchhiker that looked like Steve Spence. (My friend followed the distance running news closely). He pulled over and picked him up. He asked him his name and when he said Steve, my friend got excited! “Steve?” My friend said. “What’s your last name?” The guy said something like Spezio, can’t remember exactly, but it started with Sp. My friend got more excited when he heard the Sp... but then realized it wasn’t Steve Spence... just some random dude looking for a ride to the beach.

I don't understand why the fake posts aren't taken down, obviously people have been tricked by this. It may make sense to take the whole thing down and start over stating he hasn't.
Or are we Mark Zuck here and not deciding what is real or fake?

Wow what a thought out response to a 100% accurate post.
Old Steve is done for good. He has given up his body enough in previous years.
That kind of longevity, discipline and dedication to the sport and to training is admirable. Well done Steve!
Who is next up behind Spence?
Curious to see where SoCalCush is on his streak. I know he has a pretty good one going as well...Any updates Cush?!?!
