If it’s so simple, why did Joseph Smith teach a trinitarian view of the godhead for several years after he organized the Mormon Church? Once he changed his views on the godhead, he changed the story about the vision he had. Originally it was one being that he saw. After his theology changed, his vision became two beings.
Joseph Smith did not teacha trinitatian view of the godhead after he organized the church. You should not be so ready to accept all anti literature you find out there.

Fairmormon once again leaves out relevant facts to make it seem like Mormonism is cut and dry. If you rely on Fairmormon to answer questions about problems with Mormon history and theology, you'll never be shown the whole picture.
Can you tell me why the original Book of Mormon had the following passages if Joseph Smith believed in the version of the Godhead that you claimed he did?
1830 version of the Book of Mormon: “And the angel said unto me, behold the Lamb of God, even the Eternal Father”
Current Version: (1 Nephi 11:21):“And the angel said unto me, behold the Lamb of God, even the Son of the Eternal Father”
1830 version of the Book of Mormon: “And I looked and beheld the Lamb of God, that he was taken by the people; yea, the Everlasting God, was judged of the world.”
Current Version: (1 Nephi 11:32): “And I looked and beheld the Lamb of God, that he was taken by the people; yea, the Son of the Everlasting God, was judged of the world.”
1830 Version of the Book of Mormon:“And he said unto me, Behold, the virgin whom thou seest is the mother of God, after the manner of the flesh.”
Current Version: (1 Nephi 11:18) “And he said unto me, Behold, the virgin whom thou seest is the mother of the Son of God.”
1830 Version of the Book of Mormon: “These last records … shall make known to all kindreds, tongues, and people, that the Lamb of God is the Eternal Father and the Savior of the world.”
Current Version: (1 Nephi 13:40) “These last records … shall make known to all kindreds, tongues, and people, that the Lamb of God is the Son of the Eternal Father and the Savior of the world.”
