[1] Megan Brown is not a victim.
Megan Brown was 17 years old when she began a sexual relationship with her running coach Dave Scott-Thomas. She knew exactly what she was doing. Now years later she is crying and acting like a victim.
She is NOT.
This seems to be a trend in North America these days. Women have consensual relationships with men (sometimes older men). Then years later they twist it around to try and demonize and eventually destroy that man. They do this because their lives did not turn out the way they wanted, so they need to blame someone. An ex-boyfriend always seems like a good place to start.
She deserves no sympathy whatsoever.
If this is the reason that Dave Scott-Thomas was fired, then that is the real tragedy.
Scott-Thomas led the University of Guelph to 37 national titles in cross-country and track and field, and earned the Canadian university coach of the year award in the two disciplines 35 times.
If this trend continues, every man above the age of 21 is going to be fired and imprisoned.
It is truly over for men in North America.
Having consensual sex can, years later, land you in the unemployment line or worse in a prison cell.
[2] Steve Boyd deserved to be fired from Queens.
Finally after years and years of him cyber bullying everyone, he is now permanently banned from the sport, in all aspects (coaching, participating, even attending events).
He will NOT get his job back. So to all his supporters: please stop wasting your time with your nonsense radio interviews, newspaper articles and support letters.
For him to say that the Guelph titles should be vacated is perhaps the most disrespectful thing he has ever done.
Those runners at Guelph have trained their asses off going back to the 1990s. They truly EARNED those titles and they most definitely deserve to keep them.
Conclusion:
Men: Canada is not a country for you.
Boyd: Enjoy retirement.
That is my 2.6 cents (Canadian exchange rate)
