I have been plagued by chronic achilles tendonitis in my right leg for about 3 years now. However, the situation has become unbearable recently as I have torn my left calf muscle due to overcompensating. Gradually, the injury has forced me to come down from 100M a week, to nothing for the past three weeks. Yet after three weeks of complete rest my achilles remains sore, and, if I try to run, the familiar pain is still there the next day, as strong as ever. I am at my wits end, and would welcome some advice from posters who have experienced similar problems.
