This was from last week, but we don't think there was a thread on it.
In response to a question from Betsy Andreu, Radcliffe complained that the investigation shouldn't have taken so long. Goucher's response to her was: "Paula, with all due respect, the investigation took so long because your employer/sponsor stonewalled USADA at every turn. This was well documented in the leaked 2017 report. Perhaps you could let them know your frustration."

Kara Goucher throws shade at Paula Radcliffe on twitter

Paula can speak without thought because there are no repercussions for lying/misremembering/deliberate misdirection
on any of her comments . #sad -
Paula is the most disgusting doper there is. Seeing her finally exposed would be the best day in Athletics ever.

This was more or less shade at Nike but yeah I guess it's partially Paula's fault cause she's a Nike employee. I guess I should express Kara's concerns to my buddy down the street who works at the Nike Outlet Store, what a stonewaller. USADA had every right to go express their concerns about Nike not cooperating over a 6 year period. Instead, that's how long this was dragged out.
For people who joined recently they probably figured nothing was even coming after such a delay and that the allegations were just allegations. Say the verdict was in 2016, how many of NOP's current members would be there? Would NOP still have gotten shut down?
Respect to Kara for fighting hard since 2012 no matter who's in the right, but the time frame it took to get to this point was both unfair to the reputation of NOP's athletes and Kara. I understand where both Kara and Paula are coming from here. -
Wow. You are naive. Kara was first in line to see Dr Brown, as were the rest of the colo runners.
-
I hate both of them so I don't really care.
-
What does "throwing shade" mean?
Is it like calling somebody out for lying or cheating?
Just being negative?
Pointing to the obvious irony in Paula's statement?
Is it similar to saying "Kara rained on Paula's parade"? -
This tweet was posted in the other Paula thread last week.

This^
Kara was at a party having fun, was asked to leave but now claims that she wasn't there at all. Extremely overrated runner. -
I really find Kara's duplicity and opportunism distasteful.
I'm no Nike fun. In fact, I'm pretty anti-corporation, at least in their current form (they've run amok), and for similar reasons I'm anti-Kara. There are many people who make a far better ambassadors of sport than Kara, such as Molly Huddle; Kara and her self-aggrandizement just makes me want to burn the whole thing down. -
Yes. Sad. She got so lucky that Coe became president, not Bubka, when her case was leaked. Otherwise she actually might have been investigated, instead of the president declaring her innocent, and then the IAAF publishing this lame cover-up propaganda piece.

I have always felt that the Kara, Shalane, Desi era was the dirtiest time in American Marathoning. We all knew that they were dirty but we were so starving for success that we could look the other way. I’m kind of glad that they will no longer represent our country again. The Sosa, Mcquire, Bonds days were fun but I’m glad that they are in our past.

Kara stop whining. you are just bitter you weren't even good when you were doping.

From Urban Dictionary:
"Throwing shade
To diss someone without actually saying their name but making it obvious that that's who u are talking about
Shelly : some people are messy when they are drunk
Everyone: **looks at Bridget**
Bridget: are u throwing shade at me?!"
I agree with this definition. It accurately describes how the term was being used here. -

The first word of that tweet is "Paula."
So the Pulitzer winners at LR aren't even literate in American millennial Internet hipster jive? -

Kara did not “throw shade”
She directly disagreed and named the person and incidence.
Like Kara or not, (I don’t care), but it is a pretty solid criticism. -
Contrary to what one or both brothers Johnson have stated, Paula Radcliffe was dirty. It is impossible for a flat lander, one not born and raised at altitude to race as fast as Radcliffe raced Marathon without being on the juice.

Wow! Old Kara is on a roll. What happened to the other thread about her hating Nike?
