Felt great heading in to the race. Was averaging 4:12km Pace which i was shooting for 2:57 xx. Things unravelled around 25km and then by 29km i pretty much called her a day and jogged / walked it in for the final 13.2 km (finished 3:18xx). The thing that made me quit was achey feet and right hip. As of today, my quads and hips ache as per normal after a marathon. My calves / hams / glutes feel great. I would like to give it another go in 4 weeks. What kind of training can someone recommend me to keep this fitness rolling??
