Hi guys, 26 year old guy here, started dabbling in sprints/mid-distance 2 years ago, although mostly my "training" has been unstructured and frequently interrupted for fairly long periods of time, and so I haven't really put a training block together before.
I did two 100m races over the past 3 weeks, the first one being 12.81 and the most recent one 12.88 (I actually stupidly did an almost all out 100 ten mins before the race, not sure if that prevented me from beating my 12.81).
Before these races I timed myself over a few flying 30s and got 3.46 and 3.51, given these times should I be running faster than 12.8? Could anybody give me some simple tips on how to train for the 100m-400m events properly (I always hear about periodizing and how people drop times in sprints dramatically as they race more and the season progresses)
Sorry for the long post, and greatly appreciate anyone taking the time to read this and give me some advice. Thank you!
