USA = half the audience wrote:

Idiot, what's that got to do with anything.
Half of marathoners are in the USA and thus half the potential audience. It's not Buddhist monks in Nepal or schoolboys in Namibia will be tuning in.
I'm guessing a potential day time audience of billions outweighs a potential very, very early morning audience of 300 odd million.
In reality there will probably be a few hundred watching in North America and a few thousand, maybe tens of thousands, elsewhere. It's the subsequent publicity where the payback will happen.

Hopefully no Paula Radcliffe or Jenny Meadows commentating.
Good morning from Vienna,
Currently no wind, 49 degrees and foggy. By the start time temperature should be about 50 and no fog, seems like perfect conditions.

I imagine there will be a lot more watching it live than that. Currently 42k watching the YouTube stream.

let paula commentate.
but first have her pass a drug test followed by a psychological examination.
Good coverage and build-up so far. ?
realize that on letsrun about a decade ago, the posters basically designed this 200 hr marathon attempt.
and from that fantasy comes this reality.
what you say on letsrun can have traction.
nike could ask for your email address, and hunt you down.
i'd like that.
love to have a fist fight over slave shoe nike factories in asia.

Looks like Shalane is a commentator
Yes ventolin....Kipchoge is too old for this. He will come up short. Father Time will defeat Eliud, drugs and super shoes.

well, they are trying to say science is the big contributor, no its africa natural living, and zen meditation, the cherry on top
is figuring out how to get nutrition and electrolytes, and getting a bunch of good windbreaking.
which means there is little science involved.
because the scientists are mostly duds, and fakes.
for no athlete is actually coached by any so called bio chemist or whatever.
it's all alchemy.
Looks like Craig's moustache is back
Why are the commentators all British? And they keep talking about the London marathon.
Because Ineos is a British company! Obviously the owner didn't want some foreigner he couldn't understand commentating.
They just had Chris Froome on the show. I'm convinced Kipchoge is clean now!
Anyone else's stream stop?

No.
Fairly sure I saw Nike man Alberto Salazar lurking in the background.
