Hi,
Looking for a new pair of shoes to compliment my Hoka Clifton 6’s. I really like the Clifton 6’s but would like to alternate out with some else that also might work well for cold weather, we running in upcoming months. Any recommendations?

Hi,
You could try the new balance propel, it would be a bit faster and a touch less cushion than the clifton 6. Or the New balance 1080 v9. The new skechers go run ride 7 or the new 8 coming out in a couple of weeks. Also the reebok forever energy. If you want a faster version of the Hoka c6 the Hoka Rincon however its very breathable so you may get cold feet in winter.
Cheers
Steve
The Clifton is such a good solid shoe (I'v got the Bondi 5). I was alternating with that and Altras. But the drop is too much to switch. Lone peak is a nice mid foot shoe with climashell something, but they are warm and water proof.
Hoka makes that speedgoat but not in a weather proof version I thought.
zoom fly flyknit
I recommend Reebok floatride Energy for everyday miles. Might feel a bit slow if you go under 10k pace. But Reebok really hit it out of the park with their new line.
+1
The 35 was a solid shoe that i'll be using again this winter for must of my cold, slushy, rainy runs.
I live in paradise so it isn't really relevant to me, but once I read that people put plastic bags over their feet before putting their shoes on for running in harsh weather. Sounds cool, I love resourcefulness. reuse recycle .
here is an idea...
nut up and just wear regular shoes
Check it out.
If you are willing to put down 150$ for heavy unresponsive Hokas then add those 100$ and buy Vaporfly. They will have even better cushioning and are much lighter on your feet. You will not regret it, trust me. I do all my runs in VF
Hi,
Three daily trainers coming out: Saucony triumph 17, Skechers gorun ride 8, Asics glideride, all meant to be great.
Cheers
