An awesome night of track AND field.

disappointing day for the Americans
So disappointed.
Too late in the for a WR time.
*Too late in the year for a WR time
When was the last time Warholm ran this "slow", not counting the heats? Stockholm in May?
Karsten MF'ing Warholm!!!!!!!
Folks, this is what CLEAN dominance looks like.
Lol Warholm with the Sieg Heil!
Letsrun nuts on both sides will go crazy

How? USA is still more dominant in the steeple than Kenya, Vashti tied her PR to podium in HJ, and Benjamin finished the same place he was seeded. The only real disappointment was Chelimo in the 5000m
Christian Hesch was doping for a hell of a lot smaller stakes than Diamond League races. There is no “too slow” to cheat.
Yeah, kinda odd for someone who already looks like the posterchild of the 3rd reich
I’m sure the still photo will be appearing in bunkers everywhere?
What a close by Rogers, holy crap

The 5000 is Jakob's B-list event. This was just a warm-up, like Rupp's 10,000 in Rio. Expect him to absolutely SLAY in the 1500. Gonna turn Potato Man into French fries.
Edris put almost 4 seconds on Jakob in the final 100m. The wheels came off completely. His tactical ability is seriously doubtful, and knowing when to kick is pretty important for championship 1500s.
This

Does he needs a super slow race to finish strong? I can't see him winning the 5k as long as top finishers like Edris are on the track.
Moh Ahmed's gotta be the top clean finisher. I don't doubt his integrity at all.

So proud of Coburn and Krause. Especially Krause!!!! Brilliant clean training and running. So much for the Kenyan "revenge" sweep. Maybe next time.
I’m sorry but why do you think Gesa Krause is clean. She is managed by Marc Corstjens who has had his top three athletes all test positive: Ruth Jebet, Kipyegon Bett, and Eunice Kirwa. Krause goes to Kenya to train for part of the summer most years so to me she seems just as suspicious as any of the Kenyans.
She had a steady development over the last 10 years and there is zero evidence she is doping. She just ran a German national record a few weeks ago and a WR in the 2000m steeple.
But there is mountain evidence that she has made it into the highest level of running once letsrun accuses her of doping. lol

I'm inclined to agree. I'd give Mo and Jakob the "legit" gold and silver. Hoping the bio passport catches up with Edris and his "teenage" buddy.

The light show looks kinda nice and must have been expensive to create, but it is quite tasteless. Just like everything about the organization of these games.
Costed 2.2 million USD
"costed"
?!?!

Yeah, didn't Chelimo tell Letsrun he'd show us something special in the 5,000m?
