Try adizero takumi sen 5. They are lighter. I have a narrow foot so can’t comment on roominess. Feel fine for me. It’s that same material but thinner. Glad my toe hasn’t split through

any race reports with the adios5 yet?
I realize it's only been out a couple weeks and nearly everyone is using vapors now but hoping for some feedback compared to previous models...
I did a video on them. Think prefer Adios 5 to 4
Adios 5s forefoot is better on toeoff?
Thanks for review it would be nice for a long term as well.

Adios 5 is firmer in the forefoot. A bit more of a “bounce” sensation and less Boosty “squish” there too. A bit more toe spring, which all combined adds up to a better forefoot IMO. Really responsive and snappy.
Heel may be a bit softer and bouncier than the 4?
Nice video, but your review is from a treadmill run?
So what's the difference between the adios 4 and 5?
I had the 4. They felt springy in the midfoot but when I picked up the pace they felt very firm. I couldn't handle them in the end... needed more cushion so I went to the boston 8 which is not too dissimilar.
One thing I hated about the adios 4 was the lack of cushion under the toes. I was always tempted to try the takumi sen for that reason... bad idea?
Haven't tried the adios 5 nor the takumi sen 6 but the forefoot cushion in the adios 3 vs takumi sen 3 felt pretty similar in terms of the amount of cushion. Takumis felt maybe even a bit softer in the forefoot but adios had more 'toespring' in my opinion. The new takumis seem to have more boost in the forefoot than the 3's/5's though.
According to some reviews the adios 5 retains it's bouncy feeling when you pick up the pace, which can not be said for the adios 4. I'm going to order them in black.
I've always loved the adios for track, speed work and races up to half-marathon in distance but generally started to get a stinging in my forefoot anything above 7 or 8 miles. I recently tried the new Adios 5 and I'm not sure what it is about the redesign but they felt way more solid while retaining the boost bounce. Maybe it's the properties of the lightstrike on its own or maybe it's the horseshoe shape keeping the boost more contained but I really like this new model. Have enjoyed several runs over 10mi and plan to use them for an upcoming marathon.
Same. I wouldn't call it a stinging sensation, but my right forefoot would feel bruised after long runs in the adios 4. Probably because there is no boost in the front. Interested to try the 5 now.

You won’t mistake it for a vaporfly by any stretch but there does feel like there’s more substance underfoot at pace. Firmer but slightly bouncier. It doesn’t mush out like the 4 did up front.
I did 14 with 8 x 2 min@ 10k pace in them a few weeks ago and felt like it was plenty for the workout for me.
@Tim
Do you think the lightstrike foam makes the difference when comparing the adios 4 and 5?
Have you tried the new boston 8 with lightstrike?
The adios 5 weigh ~ 0.2 oz more than the boston 8 (both UK size 9). I ordered 2 pairs of adios 5 and the weight is consistent.
