All about the same price, all about the same weight, all about the same drop, even the same category...
I'm looking for a half/full marathon shoe.
Currently been enjoying my Streak 6's but they are starting to wear out. Considering trying something new. I bought the Floatride Energy for daily runs and find them to be responsive, albeit a bit hard. Not sure if the Run Fast are the same foam.
I would consider the Skechers Razor Hyper, but the drop is too low for me- I've had tight calf issues during these long races.
Note: I have the Vaporfly FK, but I really don't enjoy running in them... May try them out again, however
Any opinions on the three I listed?
Thanks!!
I own all three and have used all three quite a bit, esp the Rebel and Fast.
Far and away, the Reebok is the best shoe of the three, especially if you are using for racing.
Streak 7 is just a shoe. Also, it is quite firm, esp if considering a Full. I really enjoy these for track workouts, but they are just too harsh for me on the roads.
Rebel is a great shoe. Very comfortable, the little flare out to the side seems to add a little stability for supinators, but the midsole, although very light and comfy, tends to sap more energy than it returns.
The Floatride Fast is a rocket ship. The Pebax midsole is simply in another league. Very lightweight, fantastic energy return, feels like way more stack than it actually is, in terms of protection for longer races. I would race anything from a mile to a HM in them, and planned on racing my marathon in them, if my VFN% hadn't come in on time.
