I'm jacked as hell. Was up to 173 pounds and cut down to 162 because it was summer and wanted to be super lean. Have a squat PR of 375 and I go below parallel.

Ok - glad you found nirvana, seriously. Now you can legitimately say, “...once a runner.” For some of us, it does more for the mind than the body. I know I’m a runner at my core cause I tried to quit numerous times - it didn’t work. My brain objected.
Dear 4:17, last night when you jumped on me and blew your thingie in 18 seconds was such a thrill...
Why didn’t you just put on some muscle while running? I was 5’10 and 130lbs when I graduated high school with a 5 flat mile and 17:30 5k. Four years later I was 5’11, 160lbs and running 15:4X and 1:52 for 800m. Maybe 1 out of 50 girls would say I was too skinny for them, but it was basically not ever a problem.
Seems like you should have went this route, huh?
Given that it wasn't even disguised as a humble brag, it was a flat out pretend-cross-fit troll, it's not to bad that he or she (or intersex) got two pages, right?
You attracted shallow women and money spenders. The reason you couldn't do it before is because you have no personality. You now attract ones who don't care if yo u do. Good luck to you.

If you think muscles get women, you haven't been paying attention.

Lol...the guy is practically a Billionaire. Money will buy you anything with women no matter what you look like.
If you've got the dough...you're in the show. ?
U mad, bro?

Again not true. Having an actual physique and not bird legs, pencil neck and shoulders like a 60 year old woman translate in clothes.
You can deny it all you want. Having a masculine physique generates way more female attraction than being a scrawny 130 pound dude. Or a soft and squishy 150 pound guy.
Again, I've been all of those. I've been the 130lb pencil runner. I've been the 150lb soft guy, and I've been 165 and solidly lean. That's a 35lb difference in size from when I've been my fastest as a runner. Difference between the two extremes was small. It was there, but it was small. You can also run Tinder experiments with this too test it. Shop, or find, an average looking dude facial onto a top tier body. See how that profile does in terms of response/replies. Then, switch to a rail thin or doughy physique of a guy with a top tier face. See how you that profile does.
It's not even a competition. Face >>> Body; every single time.
Body will make a difference, but it's not a game changer. Again, it's not going to take you from struggling to attract average women to having top tier woman all over you. You might go from getting all average women to getting the occasional "cute" girl.
The differences in respect and attitude from other guys was significant. Big difference in the space people gave me and the inherent respect being rail thin versus looking traditionally "athletic".

Pretty funny. You obviously put some time and work into the post, but your diction could use sharpening.
If you couldn't get girls @ 5'10" 130, you ain't getting them @ 160 . Use the self confidence I see in the last 2 paragraphs of your post and it will happen. Chicks dig confident, secure dudes, muscles or not.
Girls dig muscular big guys. The body builders I see at the gym are surrounded by good looking ladies. You don't want to go through life where your upper arms are no bigger than your wrists - girls don't dig that. Big muscles rule! ?
LOL. They don't at all. Quit making up BS.
You do see some of the BIG dudes in the gym with attractive girls. But guess what every one of those big dudes has? Oh yea, a good face. Gym is hugely selective. Generally, unattractive and average guys don't end up working out that much. Top tier guys, they get all the attention and want to keep moving up that ladder. Gym overall attracts very above average guys (college gyms anyway).
Like yea chicks dig muscular dudes...it's an attractive body shape. But they dig sexy faces so much more than they do a great body.
You don't know what you're talking about - do you even bodybuild or are you a scrawny runner with upper arms as big as your wrists? Lol.
I've been bodybuilding and a gym rat for decades. I work out a very large popular gym and none of the skinny, scrawny endurance athlete-type guys go anywhere near the weight room area. Most come in to do cross training & core stuff and then hightail it out of there. They're scared rabbits to come anywhere near the weight room.
And there's lots of bodybuilders with average looks that get hot women - I see it all the time. The big thing now is the middle-aged cats on TRT that are built like Stallone who are really getting the attention of the younger ladies. I know a 60 yr bodybuilder with huge pipes that's dating a 30 yr fitness queen that he met at the gym!
Scrawny, skinny guys are going to left out in the cold...nothing new there.
https://youtu.be/nZNoQK_ZfYwUsed to run, now powerlift. 455/280/515, so nothing special but I've spent some hours in a gym.
I'm sorry man, but the difference in attention for women is really not hugely changed. Its better, but its no radical alteration.
Would love to see these examples of "average" looking BBers with "hot" girlfriends/wives. Vast majority of couples are similar in looks. I suspect that would be the case here as well.
IG or dating site tell you all you need to know. I can grab 10+ dudes in a matter of moments that have scrawny HS bodies, but quality faces, that have 10k-1M followers with girls of all ages (honestly its hilarious watching 25+ year old women drooling over some 18yr old HS kid) just dripping.
Go look at any good PL or BBer account on IG, and they have a smattering of that attention from women. It's guy dominated.
You might have gained some muscle mass but you obviously haven't gained any intellectual capacity for sure.
I am training to be a cage fighter, and I have been chatting online with babes all day.
Seriously? You're an embarrassment.
So now you weigh 162ish? I weigh 167 and I'm currently a 4:17 miler. Soooo
I'm over here in the US on holiday for the last 2 weeks. And holy sh*t are people fat!
I'm 42/M and get tons of ladies at the beach. I do that by being average (thin by US standards) and attractive (6'2" and 185).
In Europe, I'm average at best and just about everyone is about that size.
In the US, ladies want someone thin.
On the converse, just because ladies are thin, they think they're attractive when they're clearly not. Thinness has some attractiveness here, which is quite strange.
My advice would be to go to Europe and see what the competition is like, then come back to US and see that it's easy to be attractive.
Maybe the just want to bang somebody who is more built. Not like guys don't and I'm pretty sure you aren't calling them money spenders.
Thanks for sharing.
Just gonna assume that the OP is legit.
I went the opposite route. I was about 168 in college. I played soccer and was in the gym about 5-6 hours a week. My arms were pretty big. I rarely had a spotter, so I wasn't maxing out, but I had no issue benching 75 lb bells, for 3 sets of 8, using a stability ball as a bench. I would say I had a reasonable amount of female attention in college, but no more than any other socially competent varsity athlete.
After college I got into running. I race my best around 140 (which admittedly is tough to get to, and isn't a year-round thing). There has been zero perceptible negative impact in terms of the opposite sex. I also get frequent compliments (or I overhear comments) about my abs and legs, and I never got compliments when I was bigger. I also think there's an increased appreciation for being lean as you get older. It's amazing how many guys in their 30s have bellies, even among the upper and upper middle classes.
I think if the OP is being truthful about his experience, it's down to probably 2 things. First, he has a great deal more confidence because he's bigger. He obviously had some kind of inferiority complex about his size before, and that's always going to be killer when dealing with women. Second, it's possible that he's one of those (fairly rare) guys who actually had a birdlike frame. If you have incredibly narrow shoulders, then being really lean is going to accentuate it, and it can look a little weird. But most distance guys, even elites, actually look pretty healthy and muscular. You can cherry pick some examples that look bad, but if you just look at the field at NCAA cross, most of those guys look normal.
