Belarus has a miserable doping record. She was 22 when she ran 2:13.77.
She then dropped by 14 seconds the next year. The next key point was when she dropped from the 1:59s to low 1:58 and mid 1:57 in 2014-15. 2015 was the World gold in the 800m. She also has a world indoor bronze, world relay medals and European medals.
Wow!...that's a ~10.5% improvement in one year!
Yes...Belarus does have a miserable doping record; they're listed on the IAAF's "most likely to dope watch list" along with Ukraine, Kenya & Ethiopia -- no surprises there. In fact, Belarus was once part of the former Soviet Union where they have imply adapted the Soviet doping doctrine. You have Russia banned as a nation and now Belarus & Ukraine on a doping watch list - what's next? Ban both Belarus & Ukraine? Lol.
Interesting side note: Arzamasova's mother (Ravilya Agletdinova) was the 1986 European 1500m champion for the Soviet Union.
