Seriously that would be incredibly funny, utterly hilarious.
If the rumors are true that it's a TUE and two year bans, wouldn't it not be Gatlin as if he was busted he would get a much larger sentence for being a repeat offender
^That does make sense.
When I guessed Gaitlan, it was before other details emerged about it being three individuals, one facing a "slap on the wrist" (TUE) and two more persons facing two-year bans; one person accepting that - and one disputing it.
I don't know how missed OOC tests get punished relative to a failed test. The same?
Given his age, a two-year ban would effectively end Gaitlan's career, so if was him, that might be seen as sufficient, particularly if he "accepted" it.
Suspensions and bans seem to be something you can cut a plea deal on if you confess, express remorse, and generally take your lumps without a fuss.
Edit... before someone jumps all over this... s/b Gatlin
That could make sense and honestly I hope that's the case, if 3 sprinters are getting busted I'd prefer Gatlin gets banned over others

Vindictive masseuse strikes again, lol.
Utterly hilarious if he would be the one who got let off the hook: "yes we believe you, this time it really was the kiss/beef/supplement/sex/mother-in-law/masseuse/...."

What are you expecting them to post? “Hey y’all, I got busted for tren, see ya in four years!”?
Right, because that wouldn't raise any suspicion.
Who cares about raising suspicion at that point. If you’re out 2 years, it’s not going to help your cause to post workout content. You can go business as usual but it’s just going to make you look like a tool.
Rojo , if this “massive star” turns out to be Just’n Thyme you will have lost all credibility in the public ‘s eyes ?!
All conjecture and speculation at this point, but so far there's the theory that it's one athlete associated with three citations or missed tests or whatever, and then there's the theory that we're talking about three separate athletes each with their own separate deals.
If we're to believe rojo who is the only relatively credible source on the subject (who is confident in one athlete ATM) then a strong case can be made against Christian Coleman, as alluded to in this thread:

Given he pulled out of Birmingham without a reason...

...or at least a "real" reason. Coleman usually plays it close to the chest, I haven't seen his Instagram story because I don't have an account but he seems to have gone relatively silent. That doesn't look good relative to the discussion of doping, so one could make the case that it's him.
We'll have to wait for the facts to come out, I haven't seen any further discussion on Twitter or any outlets but I suppose everyone's waiting on USADA's word.

He had a reason, but response to LR's enquiry was deliberately vague.... Hmmmmm.
“As a result of complications occurring after practice this week, I must limit my competition schedule going forward.”
Vegas is posting new odds...
makes sense to deal this down to a no-contest 1-year suspension, back dated to the last missed test, to somehow make him eligible for 2020 Olympics

Yeah guys, Sidney McLaughlin is among the untouchables. She will never test positive just like Usain bolt didn't.
It amazes me that people think there are untouchables.
Like they didn't bust Lance, Marion Jones, Justin Gatlin, Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, etc.
Hell the Russian marathoner Liliya Shobukhova paid something like 600k in bribes to not be popped and she still was popped.

How is it MASSIVE news if it's a sprinter? That's pretty much expected.
My thoughts as well. MASSIVE news would be like.. Mo Farah, or Rupp. Jared Ward or Kipchoge. I just assume Bolt was on PEDs, so therefore everyone below him probably was/is too. Big deal.

That's all I have to say.
I don't have enough from sources willing to go on the record to publish this is as a journalistic piece on the front page so this is me posting as a fan who has been hearing A LOT of stuff the last few hours behind the scenes.
Given the sensitive nature of this thread, we are going to require registration to post on it.
You're a journalist in the same way that Stephen A. Smith is a reporter. You play a bafoonish role for clicks. Integrity? That's not something any letsrunner would accuse you of having. Sources? Why use them when rumours will do. This thread is classic Rojo .
Anyway, my money is on Shelly-Ann, Coleman, and Gatlin.

LMAO. You say rojo is the only relatively credible source then you site some unnamed unregistered person as a source.
You don't know me from Adam, and there is no reason to believe me, but I was going to post this yesterday when I posted the Kara Goucher thread, but I didn't because I was positive that it would have been removed because I had no proof. When Rojo posted, I commented immediately and was surprised that he posted it.
It started off being about 2 but moved to 3. The one that is getting the slap on the wrist is in fact a big name, as is one of the others getting the ban. Things change and the bans could change to something else as they plead their case. This tends to happen as more comes to light but there is absolutely zero doubt that there are 3 involved. Rojo doesn't have the facts on this and is most likely responding to what others are saying, rather than getting information first hand.
No, you're misreading me. My post was not presenting anything new and was merely conjecture. I made my own deductions based on my four guesses of who it could be (Lyles, Coleman, Muhammad, McLaughlin) and checking out their recent history in the media and on social media. That's all. I linked to the other thread to show that I wasn't the only one talking about it from rojo's perspective and was making the case for someone who wanted to bet on it being Coleman.
And relative to the LetsRun posters and the message board (AKA armchair detectives) rojo is literally the only poster so far with a veritable possible connection, however shaky, to the "behind the scenes action" in the situation. Besides Alan Abrahamson on Twitter those are all we have to go on as a connection to the rumor. Everything else is our own speculation.
I'm not saying you or anyone else doesn't actually know what's going on, but like you said, we have no reason to go on your word because there's no way of knowing who has the facts -- which no one is confirmed to have since it's only rumor at this point.
Still have to wait on word from USADA, but until then we can make all the wild guesses we want, we have no reason to run in any one direction yet.
