When I was in High School our Reciever ran 9.3 for the 100 YARDS and 20.6 in the 220 Yards (He played Defensive back for the New Orleans Saints after College) Our Running back was the state 330 Yard Hurdles runner up,. Sometimes they would put them on the 4 x400 and they would split 47-48, Remember these are just high school kids, NFL players are faster and stronger than High school kids, so I would be surprised if they could not break 50, not counting the linemen who are too fat to run 400 hard. I wish they would stop timing them for 40 yards and time them for 100, 200, and 400 meters instead, to see how fast they are, Some of them are REALLY fast a few even challenged Bolt to a race, the fact that they think they can beat Bolt means they are really fast, but I personally consider Bolt faster until they beat his records, I never understood why High School Football players usually run track, some even College, but rarely do NFL players run Track, Why not stay busy, play Football until the season ends be it regular season or the Super Bowl, then run track until the season is over either USATF or Worlds/Olympics/Diamond league, that would seem fun.
