Depends what you mean by average fully grown woman...
If you mean an average woman as in... the 'average' British woman is 40.2 years old (ONS)
I still think I put my money on the 13 year old boy.
I think there would be less variation whereas with the women it would be dragged down by all of the elderly women who would not be very strong at all.
If you are comparing the average 13 year old boy vs the average 40 year old woman I think that is quite close.
I think you need to specify age to make it a fair comparison because you're comparing a narrow band (13 year old boys) with a large band (18-112 year old women).

Average 13 year old boy is 5'1 and weighs 100lbs. I dont expect most of the average kids to be benching 70lbs. Personally I would be on the adult females (assume we are talking like 20-35. Start adding in the 90 year olds and I would go with the boys). Bump it to 15 when the boys are 5'7, then they would win easily.
I'll also go with the average woman because the average woman probably weighs 50 pounds more than the average 13 year old boy. I've taught many boys who couldn't lift more the 45 pound bar. I've taught many 9th graders who could barely lift 90 pounds.
Many of us here might believe we're scrawny runners but the average kid is even weaker.
YOURE WRONG. Hopefully you're a more competent coach then your bad guess suggests. Most women are weak AF and could have trouble benching just the bar, even more so weak then the weak 13 yr boy who I would expect to bench the bar plus a couple 5 or 10 pounders on each side at least even if theyre 5'6 and 100 pounds. The strong 13 yr old boy is even more ahead of the strong women for perspective as well.

Most these post simply show people are conditioned to believe men are gods of strength compared to women. I’ve read a lot of these saying a grown woman would struggle to lift 100 pounds as a 13 year old girl I lift wood logs that are around 150 pounds or more. I also am stronger than 14 year old boys I know. A grown woman could easily out lift an AVERAGE BOY if said women were in their prime,
lmao
if you took 500 random 13 year old boys from the us population and had them all bench press
then took 500 random women from the general us populace at their peak prime athletic age (say 25)
I absolutely am convinced the boys would bench more. not even close. I'd bet my entire life savings on this.
Have you actually seen how weak the average mid twenties girl is? sure the ones that lift etc are stronger....but on AVERAGE?
13 year old boys will have many outliers that will DESTROY even the most elite women
the average boy will be stronger too
I think you could make a case that 11 or 12 wins too (serious)
remember, a bunch of random 13 and 14 year old kids beat the US WOMENS SOCCER TEAM that ended up winning the world cup
number 5 womens soccer team (australia) also loses 7 - 0 to 13- 14 year olds
13 year olds would DESTROY the women
As a 13 ear old, 150 pound, 5'8 boy I can bench 165 pounds but that's only because I play basketball, lacrosse, and I lift 5 days a week. There are boys I go to school with that would struggle to bench the bar, and others who can bench more than me, I'd say the average 13 year old at my school could bench probably around 90-100 pounds and most women can't bench more than 70lbs.
How does this post not get deleted?
i mean im 13 and bench 121lbs, and, just from looking around my class and year you would be able to tell that most people wouldnt be able to even bench 50lbs or go over the 100lbs mark, well it might just be because I live in ireland where 25% of the children are overweight/obese. Anyway, I'm pretty much the top of my year theres only 5 or 7 other people who could compete with me (out of around 125~), and i'd say theres only around 8 or 10 people in my year who could even bench over 100lbs but i mean the average for an irish woman is most literally, overweight or obese which is just honestly disgusting me, how is 60% of the adult population overweight or obese? So, I'd say the 13 year olds would win, as the average woman in ireland is overweight and hasn't gone to the gym once in her life.
It might be close.
But Id guess 13 y/o boy wins.
Totally anecdotal, but my sister could bench 100lbs at age 10. She was a "big" girl, but no training. She was stronger than most of my friends who were 12/13 years old.
I remember when I was 13 we had a weight training class and there were guys in there benching 185+ lbs. I think on average, 13 year old boys will be much stronger than grown women.
Average 13-year-old boy is not 5’1 lol. I was 5’6 at the end of 8th grade when I was 13 (measured in PE class) and they made us line up by height for middle school graduation, I was 8th shortest of about 30 boys. I couldn’t even graze the foam underneath the gym backboard despite literally thousands of attempts. Fortunately my aspirations of verticality paid off as I grew 9 inches in the next 4 years and could dunk easily one or two-handed by HS graduation.
I’m 170lbs, 13 (14 in a couple of months), and just benched 210 for the first time after a solid 4 months of lifting. Is that good?
How tall are you?
5’8
Yes, benching more than your body weight at the age of 13 is very good.
Sure but how much can your mother, sisters and aunts bench??
tell Mo, when half the internet is full of hypothetical discussions, how one on who benches more between 8th grade boys and grown women, would get deleted?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
