Rebecca Mehra has been DQ'd in women's 800.
I think Woody's only real shot was being pulled along to the standard. Everyone calling him out for not taking the lead are overlooking the fact that once he DID take the lead the pace fell off a cliff.

Woody will continue being an Elite that really doesn’t do anything yet has every opportunity to do so. A prime example - this meet.
I think everyone is being harsh on Woody here. Sure, he could have pushed the pace a bit after Chelimo let off the gas but who knows if he would have finished as strongly as he did. No matter how much we rip him on here, the dude still pulled out a 3rd after not exactly being the biggest name in the field. Remember, Lopez could have helped with the pace too since he needed the standard.
Maybe we are but the fact is, you can't get to World's without the standard. If he got 6th in 13:18, at least we know he went for it. Maybe his coaches told him to stay back and draft, idk, but it's hard not to see him capitalize on that opportunity.

How much more money does he make getting 3rd over 6th? Might have been more worth it to finish top 3 in a championship than getting 6th.
Ben, come on!
CRAIG MF ENGELS
.04 sec between Engels and Centro. Holy sh1t
Craig Engels!!!
Engels with the win.
But great run by Centro considering he hasn't been racing that much this year. He is looking stronger.
blankenship goes to worlds
Josh Thompson is the second BTC athlete to finish 3rd without the standard today
NOP for the win. Centro is a shell of his old self. Way to go, Jerry.
Yorks looks like a heel striker
Blankenship made it?

Top 3 all 51.9x finish. 4 more in 52.xx. And it wasn't THAT slow.

Again, we're talking about an athlete who placed 2nd at the US Championships who hasn't been healthy.

No way.. That was a great run. Dude has barely raced this year. He is def getting stronger. I think he is right where he needs to be and still has not peaked.

Lol. Centro running at 80% of where he'll be in Doha. Engels ran the race of his life.
