I hear the Stanford kids are spitting mad about this situation. Look for a lot of names on the transfer portal next year since they were not given enough time to transfer this year.

Still plenty of time to transfer. Especially for a distance kid. Not like they can’t put name up now and run on their own till break to transfer. Most could get a quick pickup somewhere good. Most of their national points came from the field anyways.
Probably the best decision they could make is transfer.. i mean maybe the distance squad has a chance but if your not distance get out now. Its a warning you will lose your $$ and will be told you’re not worthy.
Talk of transfer is pretty silly. Most of these athletes are a few years into a Stanford education. Who transfers away from that? To where, Oregon? I don’t think so. Maybe JJ isn’t what they wanted but within a few weeks he’ll have an XC/distance coach in place and then they can judge. It’ll probably be someone recommended by Vin or Jerry, someone young and energetic, and the XC kids will be happy. Sprint coach is likely to stay cause I can’t see him getting the BU job.

As I said weeks ago, Ondrasek will be the distance coach at Stanford. Deal with it.
Men and women both or just men?

Yes!
A distance kid would be foolish to transfer. It took these kids years to get into Stanford and most chose Stanford fir the education primarily. He loves the distance kids with proven results with distance girls has mad potential. No need for concern until he fails on assistant coaches.
Which basic model and who should he get to fill each?

My teammates and I met earlier today and most of us decided to put our names on the transfer list. We were happy to give Stanford time to hire a head coach and we feel they did a good job with coach Clark but obviously they didn’t care enough about the distance team. Most of us hope to transfer over to ND, USC (for the girls), Texas, and Michigan but others are calling the Ivy League teams direct.

Absolute BS. Completely not true.
This is so absurd it's comical. Hilariously shitty trolling, but hey. Slow weekend I guess.

Young distance runners with good grades can jump on the portal and hear from several Universities with substantial scholarships. I would imagine most of these kids will wait to see who the new hires will be at least.

Stanford could have... should have done much better.
Watch the Cards do well for two more years with the talent they have and then not so well thereafter.
Careful, Your Racism may be showing. JJ Clark is one of the best mid distance coaches in the game. what he did at Florida and Tennessee was National Level stuff.
He did not destroy TENN. He did better at Tenn than the current position holder!!!
Careful, assuming racism is the reason somebody doesn't like a hire is kind of racist. You need to get help.

Given that Stanford is the Cardinal (i.e. a shade of red) and not the Cardinals, I have a feeling that this particular post was bogus.
Though mildly funny.
And where would Cardinals and his teammates have met? Nobodys on campus. Completely bogus

Entitled spoiled kids. Leave. They don't pick head coaches. If the AD or Deputy AD wanted their opinions, they would have asked. They didn't.

LOL....Those schools are already full and at their scholarship limit. Also school doesn't start until 3rd week of September at Stanford and the kids on scholarship don't attend summer school.
I know I’m just playing into the foolishness but why would a 50 75 or 100 percent scholarship recipient go to an Ivy where they get no money to run?
A few teammates also talked about going to Georgetown as well. Most of us from the area got together the rest were on Skype. Nobody is happy on the distance side.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
