What’s up LRC,
Over the summer I’m hoping to build my core and eventually develop abs. What workouts should I be doing?

If you want abs then get low body fat and work on posture.
Bump.bump
The Eight Minute Abs program (posted free on Youtube) works really well. You should start seeing results after three or so weeks if you do it everyday. Also, your abs will seriously explode if you do it twice a day.
Situps and lots of them

This is going to blow that right out of the water. Listen to this: 7... Minute... Abs. Think about it. You go to YouTube, you see 8-Minute Abs sittin' there, there's 7-Minute Abs right beside it. Which one are you gonna pick, man?
I posed this question to some Air Force Special Tactics instructors (Pararescue and Combat Controllers) a few years ago. These guys were jacked. The lead instructor told me that they did 8 Min Abs. I though he was joking but he was serious....no ab rollers, no gimmicks, no weird Crossfit stuff. Just 8 Min Abs.

What happens if I am rushed and only have 6 minutes to do my workout? Do I do nothing?

If you really want the best abs possible, then quit with specific ab workouts. 8-min Abs LOL. Enough! Here is what you need to do for the best Abs around ...
These are all Tae Kwon Do kicks:
1) 100 leg lifts left than right (200 total)
2) 100 axe kicks left than right (200 total)
3) 100 outside crescent kicks left than right (200 total)
4) 100 inside crescent kicks left than right (200 total)
5) 100 twist kicks (inverted roundhouse) left than right (200 total)
That is 1,000 kicks and will work your abs 10 times better than any ab-specific workout.
Thanks!

No! No. No. Not 6. I said 7. Nobody’s coming up with 6. Who works out in 6 minutes? You won’t even get your heart going. Not even a mouse on a wheel. 7’s the key number here. Think about it. 7/11’s. 7 dwarfs. 7 man. That’s the number. 7 chipmunks twirling on a branch, eat lots of sunflowers on my uncles ranch. You know, that old children’s tale from the sea. It’s like you’re dreaming about Gorgonzola cheese when it’s clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office, because you’re f___ing fired.

What about 666?
Six is the first discrete biprime (2 × 3) and the first member of the (2 × q) discrete biprime family.
Six is the only number that is both the sum and the product of three consecutive positive numbers.
The ring of integer of the sixth cyclotomic field Q(ζ6) , which is called Eisenstein integer, has 6 units: ±1, ±ω, ±ω2, where {\displaystyle \omega ={\frac {1}{2}}(-1+i{\sqrt {3}})=e^{2\pi i/3}} \omega = \frac{1}{2}(-1 + i\sqrt 3) = e^{2\pi i/3}.

It was indeed well played though there was a comedy routine along the same lines back in the day. But yes, nicely played.

This. Besides the studies on working your core shows that doing heavy compound movements work a whole lot better than any direct core work.
Solinsky did 500 situps and 75 pushups 2x a week during high school, apparently that's all that's needed when you are naturally big/strong.
Lift heavy and clean up your diet.
No sugar, in other words.
