I think you’re right.
I think you’re right.
Clearly the American public is running away from Sanders and to honest Joe Biden.
One of my Bernie Bro friends last night was talking about coronavirus and how it would be so much better if we had M4A. His claim is that some people are staying home while sick, because they are scared of the medical bills they'll rack up if they go to the hospital. This got me to thinking...
Is it a good thing that many are incentivized to stay home unless or until they get severe symptoms? I think the answer is yes. One of the biggest factors in the death rate seems to be overcrowded hospitals. Under M4A, more people would flood the EDs, urgent care, and their doctors. Under the current system, you stay home and isolate, like you would if you have the flu. If it gets critical, and you are literally struggling to breathe, you go to the ED no matter what it costs. I actually think the current system handles this crisis better than M4A would.
And because it's a one-time crisis, special legislation can be passed to help pay for the people that do need critical care.
I really don't think you have thought thru your argument.
Cool lies Trumpster.
I fully support an eventual path to Medicare for All.
I agree it wouldn’t help in this situation because it’s about capacity not cost.
As part of improving the nation’s healthcare system we need to invest in increasing capacity to care for people.
Still, this is a once in a lifetime crisis. There is no way to prepare for it.
Sometimes things just suck.
The current administration has done almost everything wrong leading up to this.
A promise of replacing Obamacare with something better was never truly attempted.
He’s fought in courts to dismantle it.
The ACA advertising disappeared and fewer people signed up for the exchanges.
The number of uninsured is way up.
He didn’t support the CDC leading up to this.
He encouraged people to go out last month and down played the threat.
He bickers with reporters for not being rosy about the situation.
I agree. Trump's Presidency, in whole, has been a disaster. A crisis before this one, and that made this one worse than it has to be.
I'm not sure how I feel about medicare for all. Or at least Bernie's version of it. I like the idea of some basic insurance for all, with options. Either additional policies that cover certain care, or out of pocket costs for non-critical care.
For example, I think a runner that wants a bone scan for a stress fracture should have to have supplemental insurance or pay for it themselves.

My take, for whatever that's worth is that the election will be won or lost by Trump based on how quickly Covid-19 is no longer a major fear.... if it happens relatively quickly Trump will win the election... if it's long and drawn out he'll lose. I firmly believe at this point nothing else will matter.
Of course, my answers are not nearly always correct!
I think Trump loses regardless but agree it will be closer if we get through this quickly.
That being said, I don’t see how we get through this quickly.
What is going to be the turning point where we say everyone can travel, eat out and go back to allowing crowds?
People will be skittish.
Businesses can’t reopen on a drop of a hat.
Places won’t hire at the same pace they cut jobs.
And above all, Trump won’t show patience and even temperament.
He’ll keep dividing us with rhetoric along the way.
For my Fox News-loving people out there:
Remember, y’all: “Bernie something, something, something, communism/socialism!”

Rachel1, has Biden always been your guy or did you jump on the bandwagon after SC? What’s the appeal of Biden to you? Is it “hey, it’s not Bernie or Trump, so I’m all in on Biden.” Biden constantly lies about his record as if the internet doesn’t exist and people can’t just check for themselves. Do you see this as business as usual in the world of politics and you’re not bothered by it? Biden’s entire platform is let’s get back to the way things were 5yrs ago. People were hurt and frustrated back then at how things were done by the Dems and Repubs. Maybe you weren’t one of those people so a Biden presidency doesn’t sound bad to you as it does for others (left and right). Or maybe you’re just a troll, IDK. Its always interesting to hear other people’s perspectives.

I assume the troll posts by Rigged for Hillary are attempts to deflect from how badly Trump's dementia seems to be hurting our nation?
Dementia Joe forgets where he is. Wife to the rescue....
