She's an aussie but i think she'll stay in the PNW and train with the Brooks Beasts. she'll stay with Helen Winters at U of O for now but I'm calling it, Hull will be a Beast

This would be a horrible decision by Brooks.
YOU CAN’T MARKET FOREIGN ATHLETES IN USA.
If Katie Mackey makes the Olympic Team that would be a great development story. If Josh Kerr becomes an Olympian everyone yawns and takes no personal excitement. The same would be true of Jessica Hull or anyone else that is not wearing the Home Teams uniform.
Chris Derrick drew attention to BTC but Mo Ahmed not so much. Ahmed has been way more successful than Derrick but Americans don’t care because Mo is representing Canada.
A bunch of people in threads predicted Fisher would be going to the Beasts too for some reason. I’ll believe that when I see it.
Nike signs anyone they want.
NOP and Bowerman are the top groups and a long gap before Beasts, NYNJ, Fox Reebok, NB Coogan, etc.
If you’re female, Bossardet and Ray Treacy are tier between for select few.
She will end up a Beast only if Nike not interested. Beasts were dreaming if they thought Grant would consider them. I bet they didn’t even get an offer to them.
Why wuld nike sign this slow runner? Its nice for being a hobby college runner. but other nations have people studying or working and running much faster than her
If she stays under the tutelage of Helen Winters, then it is more likely that Nike signs her and assigns her to Oregon TC. I suspect that she has more marketing value to Nike in Australia than she would for Brooks. Like Colleen Quigley in the US market, she transcends running and appeals to a wider women's fitness market at home. She would create more value for women's brand campaigns than for running specific marketing.

Yep. She's not exactly going to be difficult to market, even if she's not American.
Name the top 10 most popular female track athletes that have a social media presence that appeals to the younger audience.
Now eliminate all of those that never run the roads.
Now eliminate all of the Americans.
No one is interested in foreign athletes that have no presence on the roads.

What about Reebok and their 13:09.xx 5ker Justyn Knight? Pretty sure he'd be competitive against Nike's top 5k men.
Knight wanted to keep his coach or Reebok wouldn't have had a prayer.

She just ran the world standard in the 1500m and has 4 NCAA Titles, including 2 PAC 12 titles and a 3rd place finish in cross. She was the best distance female in the NCAA this year. I'm almost certain she'll sign with Nike. Not a lot of marketing with non-US distance runners not under Nike or Adidas. And her ties with Oregon (Nike U) should give her a decent contract.
She did sign with total sports and I think Haas is her manager so maybe she trains in Flagstaff with Rachel Schneider, maybe goes with a private coach instead of a group? Are we going to rule out NOP? They've taken on several non-US runners lately. I think she could make the final this year at the world champs. She has a lot of potential.
She has a long term boyfriend back home in Australia, she turned pro so that she wouldn’t have to spend another year in the states and make the most off her current success.
Do people really care who is sponsoring which athlete?

If you put up a picture of the top 10 kenyan marathoners , and 10 starving african famine people , I would not know the difference . I won't sponsor any of them .
If you wouldn't know the difference then you've certainly not the pull to sponsor anyone.
At the last diamond meeting alone 12 runners were faster. I am looking forward to her final

No, Nike and to Bideau.
Brooks is where decent female track athletes go to die.
Not going to stay in Oregon, at least not with Coach Lehman-Winters. They do not get along.
I believe that for her The Beasts might be a good fit because she has no intention of racing any further than the 1500. Danny does a good job below the 5000. Not a great choice for a 5-10 guy/gal which is why they lost GF.
Horrible decision for Brooks. As a foreign athlete she has no following and Brooks has limited opportunities to push her. No US Championships No Oly. Trials. And on the biggest stage she will be wearing an Aussie Kit which does not include Brooks.
Help me clarify why we refer to the Women's pro team as Beasts?
I thought in the late 90s it was decided internally at Brooks that you couldnt market the Brooks Beast shoe name to women because women dont want to be identifiable with Beasts. Sensitive issue because Beast wearers often are prescribed motion control shoes or might be bigger to require such level of support. So Brooks marketed the womens version of the shoe as Brooks Ariel.
Yet here we are calling women Beasts again.
