No Matt D'Aquila on the Middlebury roster.
Lotta teams opening up this weekend, it'll be interesting if we see Cox for Williams or Jones from Bates (who didn't race their dual vs Colby).
Jones isn't running anymore
Trinity opener at UNE this weekend. Men take 1st behind Ace McAllister and women 2nd.
-Williams showed Amherst the business at 'lil 3s and is looking like a podium contender team. Their likely 3-7 are looking better than ever, with still another 7 right on their heels. No team will be able to contest them in the region. Cox in his usual early season form which bodes well 6 weeks from now, although he looks slightly less fit than at this point last season. Aidan Ryan looking consistent as usual. Amherst looking ok, with lots of room to improve and I'm sure they will. They've proven the strength of their program like a Phoenix out of the flames of scandal. Respect. Wesleyan looked solid without McMorrow, bodes well as long as hes not injured.
-Bates looking like they're peaking for the first 8k of the season, that or they are looking to be a seriously dangerous team this year. How they're pulling this off without James Jones is pretty impressive. That and some good recruits. Did Middlebury even race their top 7? Maybe they just rested Henry Fleming and Theo Henderson. Either way they look uncharacteristically weak this year and gettable by the Conn/Wesleyan/Colby developing teams. New blood in the top 4 at NESCACs please. Conn College looking better than expected and might be able to sneak into top five at 'cacs, Tufts looking average to bad. They need to develop their pack, as their spread has always been their strength
-Hamilton... meh, looks like same old average few runners than a huge drop off for their 4 & 5. I see 12th place in their future...
-Either Trinity ran at a slow course or they need to lay off the frat lifestyle and get some doubles in.
-Is Bowdoin scared of racing? Last years strategy clearly did not work for them, but it seems like they're up to the same shenanigans
REPORT: James Jones retires from DIII xc in order to maintain a low public profile after carrying out the execution of known pedophile and human trafficker Jeffery Epstein in August.

Your son may run for Tufts but my son coaches for Williams. Go Ephs!
Wyessa "Ace" McAllister of Trinity at Lousiville Classic 24:26 8k
damn ace got some fanboys, but thats an impressive race. 37th in a d1 field. I'm still willing to bet Aidan Ryan over him at 'cacs tho, shaping up to be an interesting race however
Results from Conn say NESCACs will be fun to watch, but NE teams might go home devastated at Nationals.
Ryan looks to be the hands down favorite, with Aschale, Decker, McAlister, Henderson, and any of the next few Williams guys in a fight for second. Williams hosting nescacs says that they will have even better odds of putting multiple in the top 10. Aschale and McAlister traded places in my book this weekend, with Aschale taking the slight lead over the field for 2nd place. 3rd is anyone's for the taking. Team spots behind Williams can land on Bates, Colby, or Midd. Colby handily took 4th over Midd, but without such a huge field to separate middle-of-the-pack runners, it should be a nail biter.
Williams showed some weakness at Conn, telling me they might not be #1 on the national scene. McGovern looks to have had an off day, along with Kirgis and Wischnewsky having pretty downright awful days, but with Lindgren, Marshall, and Gannon holding strong, they certainly have potential to put together something big. They may have an off day and still salvage a podium spot, but if they're on their A-game, their whole pack can follow in Ryan's path and contend NCC for the win. MIT could get amazing days out of their rookies, or mistime their peak real bad and tank. They will likely be in the middle of the pack for teams, with the other nescac schools fighting to be in the top 20.
