Basically same as last year for men. Lehigh returns 4 all league athletes for women.
Lehigh can only do well on flat courses. That goes for both genders.

Takeaways from the Patriot League Preview meet.
Navy men looked solid but can they challenge Army for the title?
BU women had a commanding win.
What the heck were the Lehigh men doing?
Did those teams run all their top athletes?
seeing as Lehigh's top 11 all finished within less than a second of one another, looks like they just tempo'd that race
How embarrassing and unprofessional to have your team go out there and bring up the rear on purpose. Would have been better to have them tempo the course before or after the race and not make a mockery of the event itself.
I have no idea why Lehigh would have 4 races in 4 weeks and it’s not even mid September yet. Yes they tempoed Colgate but the Lehigh vs. Lafayette dual meet was a race for them by the look of the results. Let’s hope they don’t ruin Melko cause he’s legit and has top 10 potential at Patriots. I saw him race in Jersey and he’s the real deal. Lafayette gave Lehigh a run this year and nobody expected it, good job by Lafayette.
Lafayette only had one guy break up Lehigh’s top 6, so not really a close meet, but Lafayette is better than previous years . Lehigh tempo’d Colgate to see League course , so doesn’t really count as a race . Lehigh definitely not burned out by past two weeks.

Was at the race, Lehigh was never in jeopardy of losing the team score but they had to work hard. Lafayette kid Clayton was in 3rd with less than 800 to go and was only 10 meters behind 1st place. He very well could have pulled it off.
Clayton ended up 4th but was just 3 seconds out of 2nd. Kirshenbaum almost lost to a freshman. Kravitz dropped out. Lafayette has improved a ton but Lehigh has also fallen far.

I don’t know what happened to Yegon either. You would think an 8:53 steeplechaser could put together some form of XC season but so far he’s been underwhelming. Kirshenbaum did in fact lose to a freshman but somebody mentioned above that it was Melko, so not really a awful day for Kirsh. Kravitz mine as well hang up the spikes now and move to indoor.
Bucknell has been quiet so far this season also.
Does anyone know why all the Holy Cross women ran unattached at the shawn Nassaney invitational a week after they all ran under Holy Cross?
https://www.tfrrs.org/results/xc/16018/Shawn_M._Nassaney_Memorial_Invitational
Why would they run unattached?
Is this legal?
after having such a successful weekdn @ UNH they raised every last singlet into the rafters of their indoor turf/track so their undefeated season wouldnt be tarnished . Expect them to run unattched at patriots too.
HC athletes can compete UNA provided the athletes all drove themselves to RI for the race, each paid their entry fee, and covered the cost of all their meals. Otherwise it is an ncaa violation.
Top five predict based on first three weeks or racing

My guess is that the team got in trouble last week and administration suspended them for the meet and many of the athletes decided to go anyway. Just my guess.

Boston University got blasted at Beantown. Men 3rd from last, getting beat by Vermont, New Hampshire, and Buffalo. They ran their top guys and only averaged 25:51. Army and Navy dominated them. BU women stunk too, only averaged 19:02 on a fast course. Got beat by Army and Navy.
