Looks like it should be a great meet this year. Apparently the high school race is going to have a pacer at 3:00 for 1200 meters, and a decent pro field in many races.

The HS miles should be exciting:
Renfree vs Sprout rematch with 16 guys between 4:06 and 4:15 and a fast rabbit.
The girls have 13 between 4:48 and 5:00 and a rabbit.
Can freshman state champion Jenna Hutchins get another big win?

That pacing should produce a nice time for sprout. I’m guessing he’ll just get out and hang right on the pacer from the start with Renfree maybe hanging back for a kick. I’ll guess sprout runs 4:02 for the win
Two guys going after the 50+ WR of 4:25.xx. That'll be an interesting race.

1 BARTON, BRAD Get Away Today 4:19.59 Master Age Group World Record
2 HEALY, SHANE Ireland 4:22.96
Jenna Hutchins wins the mile with a 4:43:33. US#6, state record and an 8 second PR.
I had her at #3 for the mile, with 2 1600 times also fast (adjusted) so # 5 overall. Starcher, Parks, Starliper, Hart then Hutchins. Who else is faster than 4:43.33? Not counting Tuohy's DMR 4:36.9 1600 relay split. Pretty impressive for a sophomore and 8 second PR though.
Cole Sprout 4:04.19
I was quoting the meet announcer. I would need to check that.
Cole Sprout just won the boys mile with a 4:04.
or is Hutchins a freshman?? Even more impressive

Yes, just a freshman. She is also a XC All American. 9th at Footlocker.
Think TSSAA ratifies that as a state record? She’s still in high school (unlike several recently graduated seniors who broke state records), so maybe.

yes which is how I have her #4 (#2 in mile, but 2 PA 1600s were faster)
Brooks PR is up next for Sprout and Culpepper.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
