I made it a goal to live where I live now and now that I’m here I realize that I do the same sh*t I did in all of the other places I’ve lived. I go to work, I buy groceries, I run the same route most days, etc.
Don’t move to your dream destination .

Where would you
Hollywood, California
If I had to then Hawaii.
Sounds like redneck answer who has not been travelling much :)
I'd live in some big ass waterfront house in Newport, CA. Mainly because the weather is pretty good all year around. I would want to work from home as I would hate to commute too far in that traffic.
Newport Beach, CA

America is the best place in the world is why. Personally where I would want to live if money was no issue, would be somewhere in the mountains of North Carolina. Very underrated state.
Read a book about the New River (which runs through NC ) and it sounds like paradise to me .
Lots of great suggestions on this thread.
I’ll take anywhere where I could have my health back.
Amen, bro.
I'm sorry if your ailing or suffering. Feel free to share if you'd like.
But your post rings true for me. Pick a place and live there, but there's definitely much more important things in life. Thank you for reminding us.
Thanks SP .Maybe another time in another thread . Don’t want to be a downer .
I wish you well!
This thread is informative and funny.
Keep it going!

Summer: Bounce between northern Wisconsin, central Utah, Oregon coast.
Winter: San Diego
Other than bouncing between San Diego and the Big Island of Hawaii for winter, this is simply the correct answer
Boulder, CO and Costa Rica
Move to London UK
Pacific Grove, CA. Beautiful coast, mild weather.
A cabin near the boundary waters. No question. Best part of the country.
montana in the summer, san diego in the winter

Who would stay in the US? If there is enough money then there are so many better places outside US.

Obviously you have not been outside of the US yet.
Small, coastal, good weather most of the year. Get maybe an acre of land and do some hobby farming. Volunteer coach at the local H.S.
Small, so that rules out many “good weather” locations such as San Diego
Good Weather. This rules out much of the west coast once you get past about 35 degrees north latitude. As Mark Twain once said, “the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.” Someplace like the Outer Banks of NC seems interesting, but the whole hurricane, rising sea level, coastal erosion thing could put the Kibosh on a dream home anywhere along the south eastern seaboard. The New England coast is beautiful, but bad weather for much of the year.
Hawai’i would be interesting, but the bigger areas are too filled with tourists. Maybe live on a smaller island like Lanai and buy a big boat to travel to the other islands. Maybe the north shore of Kauai. IDK about Hawai’i though. I kind of prefer the mainland.
This narrows it down to a few towns on the central CA coast. Maybe Morro Bay / Los Osos / Cambria or maybe a little further down, closer to Santa Barbara.
La Jolla in a big ol mansion
I would also live in a ski town in Colorado! Since money is no object, I’d be able to spend a week or so checking out housing options in each.
Although ski towns can feel impersonal, they have a ton of upside, too. Very pretty and well-maintained. They also do a fairly good job of hiding (or keeping out?) the ugly things in life, like poverty or homelessness.
When i got sick of life at altitude, i’d probably have a go at someplace near san diego? Ive never set foot in such a place, so that’s just a guess.
Florida
I wouldn’t live in the US.
