His running form is painful to watch.

elite-duckfoot form lol
someone should tell him how much slower it is but actually seems to make it work somehow
makes my feet/knees hurt just to watch it
he's still cranking out 5:00 pace at 4 miles though, gotta give him props
https://track.rtrt.me/e/BB-BB10K-2019#/leaderboard/top-open-men-agegroup-10kso far I've seen some dude crawling to the finish (please tell me that was a joke)
and cameraman decided some shots of a group of people throwing up into garbage cans was good
very few vaporflys though, interesting, it's like that doesn't fly in Boulder
what's with all the banana costumes?

There is a “fastest fruit” category....
Women's race is at 11:12, men must be 11:45.
Also this is one of the biggest road races out there & I can't seem to find an elite start list, just have to rely on pros posting pictures of their race kits. You would think they would promote the h2h competition since it's a pretty cool/unique wrinkle.

I also find it weird they never released the international field, at least that I could find. They at least announced the U.S. runners at
https://www.dailycamera.com/2019/05/14/usa-rosters-announced-for-bolder-boulder-international-team-challenge/. (They say the international field would be released later; but I can't find it if they ever did.)
Pulling from various parts of the article, U.S. team:
Women- Aliphine Tuliamuk, who finished second at last year’s women’s International Team Challenge, former Colorado Buffaloes star Shalaya Kipp, Lindsey Scherf, who finished sixth last year on a USA women’s red team finished second behind Daska’s Ethiopian team; Taylor Ward, who finished third at the FORTitude pro 10K in Fort Collins last year; 2017 women’s citizen’s race winner Lauren Martin Masterson; a Deanna Ardrey, Stephanie Bruce, Melissa Dock, and Kaitlin Goodmen.
Men - Leading the men’s team will be Jared Ward, who was the top American finisher (eighth overall) at the New York Marathon in November and Tyler McCandless, who won the 2018 Bolder Boulder citizen’s race last year and finished second in the marathon at the 2017 USA Marathon Championships. The remainder of the men’s team will be comprised of Parker Stinson, Haron Lagat, Reid Buchanan, Reed Fischer, Tim Rackers, Jake Riley, and Diego Estrada, who finished eighth last year and is the top returning American in the professional field.
pretty sure I saw the pro startlist days ago on twitter @bolderboulder ?
they even had a pre-race media event yesterday so there has to be something out there
you can also sometimes poke through the elite bib numbers on rtrt tracking
hoka is promoting the heck out of the race so I think they are feeling kinda sure of themselves (ironically isn't altra a sponsor?)
You’d think they would update their press release?? When did they write this, two months ago?
No mention of Ward this Boston, or Parker’s 25km AR.
Another fine example of our sport having its head up its azz.

Bone?
Elite women are off.
Believe the announcers (Alan Culpepper and Frank Shorter) said the men's race is starting 10 minutes after the women.
To clarify what I said- men's race is starting 10 minutes after the women's start.
pro women first mile at 5:16 (race is really the last 100 meter)
very low arm form Japanese freaking me right the hell out (but they are fast)
https://track.rtrt.me/e/BB-BB10K-2019#/leaderboard/pro-women-10k
Aliphine still in the tracers, she refuses to wear the carbon rockets (unlike Stephanie)
Shorter doing a great job. Bruce and Taliumuk only USA women still in it with 3 Eth., 2 Jpn, and 2 Kenyans. 4 miles to go.
Fun in the men's race- the 2 favorites going pretty hard from the beginning.
2 leaders in the men's race go through the 1st mile in 4:20.
Heck the lead men are drafting that ridiculous press truck, imagine the draft that huge thing is pulling
Women did first 5K in 16:11 at altitude? nice
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
