Hey, I just finished up a track season that went well the first half, but then struggled a lot and found out I was iron deficient along with lacking a lot of different essential vitamins. I averaged around 50 miles a week and hit 60 8-10 times between cross and track this year, but want to hit 70 this summer for a good chunk of training. My question is if I should take a week break or a week and a half break? I am not injury prone and an confident that I’ll have no problem hitting 70, but after a weird end to track I am curious to see if you guys think I should take a full 2 weeks off or not. I am eager for xc so getting a big mental break isn’t a concern of mine.
