Yes the are. It’s almost 30 seconds difference.

Kipchoge would win by a freaking landslide. ~600m would be a much more fair distance.
600 is the ideal meeting place for a race between long sprinter and middle distance guys.

How do we know that Boling isn't a Rudolf Harbig type talent? He seems to be almost a freak of nature at this point, defying all logic.
Serious response: How is he a freak of nature, "defying all logic"? He is an exceptional talent who has run very well. He does not have a national title or anything of the like and while his 100m/4x4 split are impressive, his best event remains the LJ. Not defying logic, just good.

When Kipchoge was in good shape, 600m would have been good.
Laughable. You mean to tell me that Kipchoge is “not in good shape” after witnessing his dominance in London?
Kipchoge can run the marathon distance at a pace of 2:53 per 1000m. I would be impressed if Boling could do that for 1000m.
Kipchoge: 2:23
Boling: 2:53
Let's simulate this race when both are at their primes.
Boling starts sprinting out with 80% of his maximal velocity praying to hold on, and easily gaps kipchoge, sprinting the first 200 in around 22 seconds flat. Kipchoge crosses this mark in 26-27 seconds.
At the 400 Boling, who split mid 44s in a relay, passes the 400 mark in around 49 to 50 seconds flat. Kipchoge finishes around 3 seconds behind in 52-53.
Boling is starting to tire now and the lactic acid is starting to pour like crazy. He goes around a 27-28 for the third 200 meters, where kipchoge maintains his pace. Now at the 600 boling comes in around 1:18, whereas kipchoge is a little behind in around 1:19.
Now here's where things get interesting. Boling starts dramatically slowing down and splits his 600-800 in around 35 seconds flat so he passes the 800 meter mark in 1:54-1:55, and kipchoge has slowdown but still maintains a 27-28 second rolling pace and passes the 800 m mark at around a 1:47-1:48. Now for the last 200 m.
Boling, being extremely tired manages to do a 37-38 second last 200m. Kipchoge starts for the sprint finish and runs a 26-27 flat.
Final times:
Boling - 2:33
Kipchoge - 2:16
I ran 2:24 for a 1,000m in college zero chance Bowling runs under 2:30. I also ran a 4:01.49 mile off the front without a pace setter.
Boling runs the 400m in 45.8.
You all make the stupid assumption that because he’s a sprinter, he somehow would be a terrible runner if he went for another 1.5 laps. You don’t know that.
Boling would do about 1:55-1:57 in the 800 I think.
This race would be closer than you think.
Your post got stupid pretty quickly.
I think kipchoges last 1k of a marathon vs a fresh matt 1k would be a lot closer
This thread is an insult to Kipchoge. This dude out kicked Bekele and El G in their primes.
Bolig is good, but would get totally destroyed by Kipchoge. Without question, Kipchoge could run for 3k what Bolig could run for 1k.
are you kidding? nobody has even broken 2:01, let alone 2:00 in the 1,000m.
Kipchoge could never lose to a white man at any distance. Kenyans have the same genes as cheetahs.
