Twice. Once piecemeal, as they were issued; then the series in sequence a few years later (not binge reading, but fairly concentrated).
My daughters are grown and out of the house, so I think I don't need to read the books anymore. But I'm grateful for the books' having engaged my younger (ADD and LD) daughter. Reading for pleasure was rare for her. I can still remember her reading the last ones and coming up to me to say: "Daddy--Fred!" (Personally, I was more affected by Dobby's demise.)
