The Indy Mini is a complete joke of a "race".
Ran for the first time this year after moving to the midwest from the east coast. Seemed well organized, fast/flat course with a lap on the speedway, free bibs to sub-1:15 men & sub-1:27 women with separate master's times, something like 20k in the half. Did you go there & run bad or something? Seemed like a good race. Weird city. Definitely wouldn't tell people they need to vacation to Indy but I had a good time & found some beer post race.
I live in Indy, so I'm a little biased. The event is very large and takes in a sh~t-ton of money from registration fees. The issue I have is that they return very little of it as prize money and instead use the proceeds to fund a parade. They used to invite quality runners but mostly stopped doing that more than a decade ago. For an event of such importance locally I wish they would give more back to the running community that supports the race year in and year out.
