Lied about what?
Bedford called, texted, and emailed Coe repeatedly about the Russian scandal, but the Lord did not act upon it. When questioned, he said that he didn't read the email.
Still haven't heard about why he didn't read the texts either, and why he hadn't listened during the phone call where Bedford informed him. But maybe Brits don't hear so well, whether it's during a phone call or when the doorbell and the phone rings.
He was also Chair of the FIFA Ethics committee during the height of their bribery scandal, and didn't do anything.
When then Seppelt uncovered more, Coe failed to thank him; instead he called that a declaration of war, and the commenting experts Drs. Ashenden and Parisotto "so-called scientists".
He is also fighting against transparency and against criminalization of doping.
Oh, and he lobbied for his employer Nike to his long-time friend and "spiritual leader", the IAAF president Diack, misusing his position as IAAF's vice president, and then boldly lied about it despite the evidence saying otherwise.
Of course in his private life, he is known as a long-time cheat.
I better stop, but yeah, that's the kind of person people here treat as a hero. Sad but true.
