OP is the one who threw the stuff away.
The question is - was the $100K loss worth making your point?

As I said, it is based on a true story. I was there. I saw it happen. The guy literally threw away thousands of dollars of product when he could have at least gotten some return.
You were there and saw it happen. Mmm hmm.
First the OP was there then when called an idiot, he wasn’t there but knows it really happened. What an idiot. His friend is full of it. This was in Virginia and the guy actually sold the crap. The OP will come back saying that isn’t where it happened but he won’t say where.

Where TF is this dumpster??? I want my free $hit!!!!
Too late. The 60% offer guy fished it out of the dumpster already and sold it for 80% of the price.
This is dumb. Even if he didn’t want the $60k he should have donated them. If every pair of shoes is $150 (this is on the high end ik) then that’s 666 pairs of shoes. He should donate them to people who actually need them instead of just throwing them out.
That's what makes this story so heartbreaking as well. I didn't post all the details but I can assure you my dear fellow runners that this is the way the guy bargained. It was sickening all the more because I knew that the inventory would have benefited someone locally.

You all don't understand how ALPHA this guy is.
HE JUST THREW MONEY AWAY AND SENT VERY USEFUL ITEMS THAT WILL NEVER DECOMPOSE TO A LANDFILL JUST TO MAKE A POINT!
Total alpha move, you betas don't get it
lol there's nothing ALPHA about this lol. this is just STUPIDITY lol.

The guy was successful; it's just that he had other business and decided to close down the one business. He just didn't want anyone to take advantage. His thinking is : I would rather throw it away then to get less than what I want.
I don't believe in that at all but it happened and I see the guy's point.
This is how I know it's fake. Nobody in the running store business has other successful businesses. People who own running stores are lucky to make payments on their Honda CRV. And people who are successful in other lines of business don't diversify by opening running stores.

also the Op has responded to his own thread a number of times in order to keep it going.
I saw every bum in Charlottesville wearing Peg 35s.
