HS runner. PR’s 4:45 (recent), 10:34. Just recently came off a month recovering from overtraining and so my legs are just now coming back to me late in the season. Sort of a making a last ditch effort to peak before our conference meet.
I will be doing my last workouts Thursday 4/25 and Monday 4/29. My final meet is next Wednesday 5/1 where I will be running the 4x800, 1600, and 3200 (in that order).
My priority is the 4x800, want to qualify for regionals but I’m not worried about the other legs, just myself because I haven’t seriously raced an 800 since last year (2:06).
For today’s (Tuesday 4/23) workout I did 4x400, 4x200. 5-6 min rest for the quarters. Walk recovery for the 200’s. They were in 62’s and 30’s. Tomorrow I will run an easy 7 miles.
What workout should I do on Thursday to prep for that 800 and mile next week?
