Good question on what to do about the doping problem in Kenya. Does the IAAF take some action or do they continue to take a wait and see attitude? (I believe Kenya, along with Ukraine & Belarus are on the IAAF's "watch list?")
I think these two pending ABP cases with Chepchirchir and Rutto are a growing concern. If the the anomalies are found to be evidence of doping there will be two more 4-year bans handed out to Kenyan distance runners. But unlike an AAF for a drug positive these are hematological or steroidal anomalies from ABP profile data which means Kenyan anti-doping are obtaining enough blood samples from the athletes now to enter into ADAMS system. There could be more anomalies and ABP charges issued down the road.
2019 is not off to a good start in Kenya.
