Any suggestions for running a 4:40 mile? I am a 16 yr old Junior and my PRs are 56 400m, 2:12 800m (in practice), 4:59:84 1600m, 18:42 5k. I try to put in 10-15 mpw in practice, but my coach (for some reason) doesn't run us on Friday so I try to put in a long slow distance run totaling about 6 miles. I really want this more than anything, but I need help but my coach isn't willing to give me any help after practice or otherwise. I plan to really hit it this summer, but some workout help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
